I’ve always loved sweet Hawaiian rolls over regular bread rolls or even things like garlic bread, etc. There’s only been two main brands of Hawaiian rolls I’ve had, which are King’s Hawaiian and Franz. There was never been a cheaper option to try, and I was really delighted to find these sweet Hawaiian rolls from Walmart’s brand. I was wondering, if at about half the cost, would they be as sweet and spongy and all-around good quality as the others? To my taste, they’re quite excellent! And so now instead of a once in a while, maybe Thanksgiving type of roll, I can get these once a week if I want! They’re really good and I’m very happy and surprised that Walmart could pull this off, but they do pull off a lot of great things with their brands, so go ahead and try them!
I love the fact that they are fresh the flavor and the quality every time I get these. they remind me of my aunt's homemade yeast rolls. and for me to say that they remind me of my aunt's yeast rolls, they have to be high standards. I definitely recommend these
I had ordered the King's Hawaiian Rolls and did not notice they had substituted my items. We ate them without even realizing the difference. Not until after did I look at the packaging and seen they were a different brand. Save money and get the same great taste!
I bought these to test if they were as delicious as name brand Kings Hawaiian and Walmart brand 100 percent passed the test! Soft, sweet and so mouth watering delicious! These can be eaten with lunch meat or as a Roll with chili beans, steak or any meal. Walmart surprisingly does taste like name brand. I’m buying these from now on and saving $2 each package
These are good for not just a side for a meal, but they work very well for making sliders and other small sandwiches for parties, cook outs, etc. They also toast up very well if you want use toppings that require their bread to be a little studier, like sloppy joes for moisture.
These Hawaiian dinner rolls are good served as a light luncheon roll stuffed with sliced turkey, or ham luncheon meat and a slice of cheese. They are a real step up for a light luncheon. They are perfectly sweet, complimenting ham and cheese. So easy and so good. These dinner rolls are a treat all by themselves. They are sweet and light. A better choice than candy for cravings.
I happened upon Hawaiin roll slider sandwiches in Walmart's deli and they were wonderful! The rolls were cut in half with ham and cheese slices in the middle and a garlic glaze on top. Per the instructions, I baked them for the best sandwiches I've ever had.
This product came in as a substitute for anther name brand I had ordered on line so glad I got the opportunity to try the Great Value brand they taste great. Not only did they smell so delicious while warming up in the oven but the softness was so pleasing I will definitely buy these rolls again
First bite, I knew immediately that the bread had artificial sweetener in it, left a terrible yeasty sweet aftertaste. Worst part? I trusted it was like Kings Hawaiian, and I gave my dog half a roll before I tasted it. I immediately grabbed the bag and checked... SUCRALOSE. Why?!?! Fortunately it's not too toxic to dogs but still...WHY? This isn't diet bread! My husband is allergic to sucralose, I would've never bought it had I known it had artificial sweetener in it, much less something that would land my husband in the hospital. COMPLETELY UNEXPECTED IN EVERY WAY. I'm so disappointed.
While preparing these rolls I noticed there was a substance that was stuck to the bottom of the rolls, large, the size of my pinkie finger. It looked like animal feces. I submitted the rolls to the bakery, Franz Bakery, for investigation to the issue. They said that the substance was not animal feces but “simply baked dough fragments typical of pan debris”. However, the situation has turned my stomach and I find the quality of these rolls very poor.
