I find these sweet potato fries to be something I look forward to when I just need something to make me smile. they are a little sweet and I add a little salt and there you have some magic. you do need to watch them because if they get a little too dark on the edges the flavor goes from 5 to 2. get them crispy and cooked but don't overdo it! the only con here like with all food right now is price. I wish they were cheaper because the bag is at least 8 oz less than an average size bag of fries 28 oz . the cost is a lot for 20 oz. ultimately I consider this a guilty pleasure treat and I will purchase again but I do watch my pennies and if I need something else more these may notale the "cut".
i am addicted to these fries. I pull out just what I want to eat for a meal, microwave for 1 minute, then I pan fry them in a little olive oil with spike seasoning or cajun spice. Pan frying gives them just a little crunch. I have also cooked them in the oven, but microwave and frying saves a lot of time. I have tried other brands, but they are more expensive, smaller and have no flavor. So far I have great luck with the Great Valley Brand for these sweet potatoes, they are larger than the competitor and every cut potato looks thicker and fuller than other brands I bought. They taste great, sometimes I cook them really crunchy and dip them in ranch dressing. They make a nice side dish or snack and kids love them too. They are the perfect complement to a Turkey Cranberry sandwich. They are not as good without seasoning, but they are still tasty. Salt and Pepper, Spike and Cajun Spice all work great, enjoy!
I like these a lot. They are not over seasoned or salted like other more expensive brands. I feel like I'm basically getting sweet potato fries the way I would make them and I can add whatever flavor to them while I'm cooking them or after. I even give them to my dogs who go crazy for them. I cook them in my air fryer and they come out great! Perfect and just crispy enough!
These frozen sweet potato fries take almost no effort to prepare. Just open the package and place the amount of fries you desire in a pre-heated (390) air fryer and about 13 minutes later you have the best fries ever! I discovered I like sweet potato slices prepared in my air fryer but, as you may know, sweet potatoes are difficult to peel and to slice because they are not nearly as soft as russet potatoes. These Great Value frozen sweet potato fries do all of the prep work for you! Give them a try. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed!
First time trying these. Fixed them in an air fryer. Cooked them along w/ some regular fries. Used salt on both, but NO pepper on the sweet potato ones. All I can say is YUMMY!!!! Wish I hade made MORE of these and LESS of the regular fries.... Will DEFINATELY be buying again soon!
These are the best sweet potato fries I’ve tried. They get crispy on the outside but stay soft inside, which is hard to find with sweet potato fries. I make them in the air fryer and they do take a little longer than the bag says, more like 12–15 minutes for me. They have a nice sweetness without being overpowering and don’t have that dry or weird texture some others do. I usually don’t even like sweet potato fries, but these changed that for me. They honestly remind me more of regular fries, just with a natural sweet potato flavor, not dessert sweet.
I love these because they are just basic. You can add your own seasoning or keep it simple. It is hard to find sweet potato fries on the market that are not over spiced for kids. These can be made in the oven, air fryer or deep fried. They are a staple in my cart.
I love cooking these in the microwave. I've learned how to make them crisp in there. I would love to dip them in Yum Yum sauce. It is really good that these are healthier to me and my world that I think there are enough that you would enjoy them when you ate them.
I'm a huge fan of sweet potato fries, and I usually purchase the Alexia brand, but I wanted to save some money and tried this. I will NEVER buy these again. They took forever to cook. I tried them in the air fryer and with oil; both times, it took at least 25 minutes to get a little crispy. The taste was very lackluster, even after seasoning them. I was extremely disappointed.
I've had them before and the is taste okay but this product here is really greasy. After receiving my item when I pulled it off the Walmart bag you can smell the grease through the bag which is a bit much for me. Another thing to point out is your only getting about half of that bag and the bag isn't that big the rest of it is air. You can most likely go somewhere else and get it for around the same price and get a full bag but this one is very disappointing.
