Great Value brand of various cheeses is terrific, whether you add slices to sandwiches, sprinkle Fiesta mix on your yummy burritos (better yet, add a bunch inside your burritos), or just add a slice or two for a tuna grill or a melted cheese on toast. All flavors I have tried are great and even better than a fab flavor is they are so verrry reasonably priced!
Swiss cheese is amongst the healthiest cheeses to consume. This brand of Swiss cheese is as good as any other that I've eaten. It's good with crackers %26 mayo or German mustard, %26 perhaps sliced cherry tomatoes or salami as a garnish. I prefer the tomatoes 😊.
I love Swiss cheese in any form and recipe, so I always keep it on hand. These slices are THIN so you can layer them between the lunch meats or other veggies on a sandwich or between hamburger patties. I love to use them as a layer on toasted hoagie rolls to lay them down before adding philly steak or philly chicken, or when I've warmed up pulled pork so that it get warm and melty.
Great Value Swiss Deli Style Sliced Cheese, 8 oz Package 12 Slices is a good quality cheese. So far I've used it for Swiss and mushroom burgers, the cheese melted evenly and was very creamy with so much depth of flavor. It honestly does taste like it came right from the deli. I also made Omelettes with it. A spinach and Swiss cheese and a ham and Swiss cheese. They were delicious. I originally wanted the American/Swiss. But I can't find it, so I picked the Great Value Swiss Deli Style Sliced Cheese hoping that it would be as creamy. This cheese exceeded my expectations for sure!
I do prefer the Great Value Swiss cheese slices to other brands, but I AM SO DISAPPOINTED That Walmart Stopped Carrying The GV BABY SWISS cheese slices, which in my opinion, sold very well (I bought 2 lbs. every week, I liked it that much). PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE WALMART, BRING IT BACK!!!!
Great Value swiss cheese is excellent. Very good taste, very fresh and taste so great on rye or slider roll, put a little mayo on your bread with deli meat and it is especially tasty with rotisserie chicken slices. Why buy an expensive swiss cheese when you can buy for less money Great value swiss, a marvalous cheese.
Great Value Cheese Products are every bit as good as the "Name Brand" Cheeses AND at more reasonable prices. A blind taste test would demonstrate that the only difference is that Great Value Cheeses are more reasonably priced! So, why waste money when you can't tell the difference?
I combine this Swiss with Honey ham and Walmart potato salad for an excellent lunch. The Swiss has a mild distinct flavor, which I love. The price is VERY reasonable, and has a self closing bag, which keeps it fresh between uses. All in all, a good buy.
Great Value Cheese is a staple in our household. Yes, name brands like Sargento are nice, but I see no discernable difference in taste, texture etc when compairing the two, except for the price. Great Value is definitely a tough economy purchase, helping to squeeze just a little more from that penny, and it's well worth it on the Cheese slices. Can be used in melted cheese sandwiches, as well as torn up in salads, casseroles and any recipe calling for cheese.
I have been buying this for years. All of a sudden the taste and texture has changed. It's hard and tastes terrible. I started buying another brand that's way more expensive. Hope they change back however they used to make it because no one in my family will eat it anymore.
