I always think of The Duggars famous Tater Tot Casserole when I see these lol. Anyway these are as good as Brand. Same flavor. Same crispy crunch. Same seasoning. Same squish. Same amount of juiciness. Same texture too. As a test I baked some of these along with some of the more expensive brand names. The kids and their parents could not tell the difference and to be completely honest neither could I. We liked to dip them in ketchup queso cheese dip sour cream etc. They pair well with almost anything including baked beans. The nice part is they are already seasoned. So all you have to do is throw them in the oven or air fryer and wala. Give me a thumbs up if this helped. :)
These tater tots are terrific!!! I usually don't like potato snacks unless they're deep fried, but these when air fried and topped with Badia Complete Sazon seasoning are excellent! Perfectly crispy and tasty. Even my picky eaters say they are delicious with baked beans and cheeseburgers 😋
This is the perfect nostalgic tater tot. If you want to relive your elementary school days and cook them up soggy style, you absolutely can. However, I like to crank up my air fryer or oven and get these super golden and crispy. They're great with some seasoned salt and honey mustard. My absolute favorite. I could probably eat a whole pan.
I love tater tots. I've tried a lot of brands. to me, these are the best. they do great in the air fryer. they are crispy on the outside and kinda soft inside. and they have a texture and taste I love. I can have them any time. breakfast, lunch, dinner, or a late night, light shnak!
Good tasty fast air fryer cooking snack or side item that has a no cholesterol and reasonable sat. fat nutrition label rating. I really like these and go through too many, happily. Yeah like any such food they are best in my estimation if cooked in the air fryer or oven but the microwaved product is good too.
This is by far the Best tater tot for the money! Ore-ida is not nearly as good as they claim to be. These Great Value tots have none of the black spots or “potato eyes”, that you'll find throughout the Ore-ida brand . I've called and complained to their customer service. Months later the same issue. Forget about them!!! These tots are the Best in breakfast burritos, crush them and add peppers and onions for a delicious kick. I use Walmart cartons of eggs, cheddar/Monterey Jack cheese, ham, sausage, and bacon. Plus, you can definitely taste the difference. My choice for thee ed dozens of burritos I make.
These Great Value Tater Tots (80 oz bag) are a solid pantry staple for the price. You get a huge bag that lasts our family multiple meals, and they cook up nicely in the air fryer or oven – crispy on the outside and fluffy inside when done right. The flavor is good, especially for a store brand, and they’re perfect for quick weeknight sides, snacks, or loading up with cheese and toppings. The only reasons I’m not giving a full 5 stars is that they can be a little greasy if you oven-bake them, and the seasoning is pretty mild (we usually add extra salt, pepper, or garlic powder). Also, there are inevitably some broken pieces at the bottom of the bag, but that’s typical for tots this size. Overall, excellent value and reliable quality. I’ll definitely keep buying them over more expensive brands for everyday use. Highly recommend if you’re feeding a hungry family on a budget!
We used to buy the Great Value tater tots ALL the time. For the last year or so. we have been buying the BJ's brand...larger bag, better value, great taste. Recently, BJ's was out of stock. No problem i thought, I'll get some at Walmart. Boy, were we disappointed...what happened? They didnt look like a real potato product, they didnt smell like real potatoes. we had to cook them more than double the amount of time, and they just never looked right. i dont know what has made them a totally different product than before, but we wont be getting them again.
We’ve ordered this product for years and loved it. It’s very clear that there’s a recent change in product in the worst way possible. The previous product worked flawlessly in the oven and this version doesn’t crisp in anyway. It gets tough and has a terrible flavor profile. The texture is mush overall even after attempting to broil the product briefly. Hopefully, they will return to the previous product.
We used to love these. They turn out great in the air fryer. The last few bags I have purchased have been such awful quality that we can’t even eat them. Almost every tater tot has gross brown spots. They never used to be such poor quality potatoes.
