Great Value Thick Sliced Bacon Hickory Smoked, 16 oz

Great bacon, not so strong a bacon flavor. Personally I like my bacon strong and while the texture and all is there , the flavor is lacking at times. My solution is to buy liquid smoke and put my bacon when I first buy it into ma "bacon containter" and add some hickory, or applewoood, or pecan liquid smoke. Shake it up and I have super awesome bacon at the fraction of the cost. I like my bacon as a side dish, no really on my salads and such, but in my eggs possibly but I love it in pico de gallo and the marinating take it up a level or two.

Great Value brand continues to surprise and amaze me. This Thick Cut Hickory Bacon falls right in line with those actions. The GV bacon tastes better than Most other brands yet is so much cheaper. It also seems to have less water content when cooked making it's value even higher. I have noticed a few times that the fat content was just a bit higher than others but nothing like the true, bottom of the line brands. Highly recommend.

Really like his bacon fries up nice and crispy if you want it that way and it's easy to take out of the wrapping being thicker. The thin stuff seems to stick together more. That's why I always buy the extra thick. I'll continue buying this great taste and fries up crispy.

This is an excellent product from GV! The flavor of the Hickory is better than some other name brand bacons. The ratio of fat to meat is good, it cooks up well and I am very pleased with everything except the thicknesses. They range from thick to a regular size here and there, in one package,🙂

Our family likes to use this bacon for BLTs. We like the thick cuts. It has a hickory flavor. We like our bacon crispy and found that cooking it in the oven was the best way to get it as crispy as we like it. It is a little more fatty than some others but still has a good flavor. Good value for the price. Affordable on a family budget. Keto friendly.

I've purchased this before and it was fine. This particular package had a block of inedible hard spot that could not be chewed. Very non-typical. I actually prefer a once California processed bacon but Walmart doesn't carry the variety of the brand I like. This is basic bacon.

Does have more fat than other bacon that is almost double the price. I can't afford to get bacon that's priced higher than this. My budget lets me splurge on the brand of bacon when it's on sale. I really like it on sandwiches, salads, as well as by itself with breakfast.

The packaging of the item is deceiving as it looks like it's pretty lean, but then when you open it or you turn it over to the other side that is also exposed there's so much fat so shoppers beware and make sure that you check both sides of the packaging to make sure that it is me and not so much fat we've had this before and it taste really good fries are really good and I do it on a low burn just to make sure that we get it done because we do like a crispy and it does taste good

If you like a lean and sugary bacon, this might be for you. Advertised as thick cut but just as thin as the regular. After cooking a whole pound, there is barely any fat rendered in the pan and burnt on sugar. I can tell it's a high water content bacon too, so you're steaming out a lot of weight. Get yourself a name brand, it's worth the extra dollar if you like traditional quality bacon. Attached photo shows how little grease is in the pan as I finish cooking the last slices

I bought this item before and was very happy with it, that's way I bought it again. This time not so much! I tried to cook the first package and couldn't because it was too thin and each piece was barley connected in the middle and broke apart when placed on the frying pan. I threw it in the trash; it was a lost cause. I was able to cook and eat the second package. Neither package was Thick Cut! They were some of the thinnest bacon I have had. You can refund if you like or not, just want you to know about this product failure.
