this was absolutely delicious I couldn't stop eating it it's all gone I want someone to remind me to buy it again and again and again and again and again and again and again and again again again again again again again again again again and again again again and again
This tastes like Black Forest Ham. I had been buying a name brand ham but it just didn't taste as I thought it should. So I tried this Great Value BFH and I'm still buying it. Sliced thin but not shaved. I pur a nice amount on a bun with mayo. That's it.
I've been purchasing this Black Forest Ham for years and like it a lot. I've also bought the competition, which is more expensive, and don't find a lot of difference. It's thin-sliced and tasty and is packaged the same way, in two packages inside the plastic carton, which keeps it fresher longer. I enjoy reusing the outer carton too. It's great for ham and cheese sandwiches, with eggs for a meal, or whatever you might use thin-sliced deli ham for. Recommend!
I buy this ham on a regular basis. It is flavorful and tender. The resealable container is convenient and adds to the value as they can be reused and last as long as comparable products purchased specifically for this purpose. I especially like that there are two packages within the container. It is just my husband and myself, so we do not always get through all of the ham quickly. I have never had any turn on me.
I regularly buy these cold cuts to pack my husband's lunch for work. He enjoys the sandwiches, and I love that when the contents are all used, I can repurpose the resealable container to pack lunches. I make two sandwiches, and cut them each in half, so that he has four half sandwiches which can be eaten neatly at the office. See picture.
Expensive, dark container is a turn off, looks cheap, ref space killer, trash generated, quantitive too little to store, full use reduces lasting extension. Its ok for picnics or traveling. To control high price of ham buy sliced, eliminate paying for packaging.
I don't like how much liquid us in the packaging it can make the meat feel a little slimy at times Also not everytime but several times when we opened the package the entire fridge smelled like ham it just permeated everything. i mean i like Ham but i don't like my Milk, my yogurt, ny Orang Juice you get the idea to smell lije ham. otger than tgat it is a really goid price for tge amount. Both my kids prefer ham lunchmeat so the more we can get for a reasonable price the better.
I don't know whether it's me or meat itself but meat seems have taken a down turn. I just find a lot more gristle in the product in general. That's across the board and not just with great value. I will put Great value deli meats against any other. They make a great chicken product and not many companies make chicken products. It's mostly turkey.
We find the Black Forest ham the most flavorful of these luncheon meats %26 a better price than name brand competitors. Disappointed though that most lunch meat brands have downsized to small round, thin slices whereas the slices used to be a larger square size to fit between 2 slices of regular bread , so now it seems we tend to use more meat to make a good flavorful sandwich which doesn't translate to a great value.
I cant tell you if I liked it or not. this item along with the rest of the $150 order was stolen because the order wasn't left where I asked it to be left. I've requested a full replacement for the order but haven't gotten it yet. or even a credit in the $150 order
