I have purchased this item for a long time. My family loves pies and I do not have time to roll out pie crust to make them. I crimp the edges of the pie crust and brush milk on the edges to keep them from burning the great value pie crust and after I put my home-made coconut pie filling and home-made chocolate pie filling and my homemade pecan pie filling into these pie crust to bake when they finish baking they taste just like a home-made pie crust. I would rate them a 10 star pie crust rather than a 5 star pie crust. I think they are the best along with the best price. Sandra
I just tried this product last week. I will absolutely purchase again. The crusts were very easy to use and work with. A bonus is that they both come in an aluminum pie pan. These make it very simple to use them- just add filling and put in oven. If making a pie with a top crust, simply thaw one crust, invert pie pan, then place the crust over filled pie, crimp crust edges together and bake. My pies came out wonderfully, and tasted great. I am happy I tried the Great Value brand.
I normally avoid the crust on pies and cakes, I bought this because it was cheap but I was amazed by how good this crust tastes, its ready to bake and comes with two separate crusts.
Made chocolate pie. Nothing left. Crumbs and all eaten
The Walmart pie crusts are good to use in my baking and just as good as name brand crusts.
I can't make a pie crust so thank you for making it possible to make pies that my family can eat
The pie shells were cracked and broken. Because of the package was totally coved on the top with picture and writing, I could not see that the shells were broken. I had already shifted through a stack of packages and could see that the sides of the shells were broken. This is not the first time this has happened. I would not have purchased these if there had been another brand available. I would not recommend these pie shells.
I have purchased the Great Value frozen pie crusts for many years and have enjoyed them. They were easy to use, tasted good and if they happened to break, they were easy to mend when they thawed. These things are no longer the case since the GV pie crusts have changed in both how they look, how they taste, and how they are before baking with. The crust ridges stand up so high now that they are almost always broken before baking with, and fixing them when they have thawed is a chore now. Even after they cook, the crust gets soggy and doesn't taste good. We will be switching to a different brand of frozen pie crusts for sure. These are especially not worth $2 a bag!
pie shells arrived broken and unusable for pies. no care was taken in packing or delivery. very very disapointed.
Always misshapen and broken. Disappointing
