Great Value Traditional Apple Pie, 34 oz (Frozen)

This isn't as good as "mom used to make" but I prepare with extra cinnamon sugar and my neighbors can smell the baking. Usually we don't even wait for the pie to cool, just ingest it as a potpourri of apple and crust, piping hot, when the cinnamon and apple scent is at its most seductive and tasty. Live alone, learned baking procedures and so on when my parents were in the restaurant business long ago. Used to make my own pies, which took ALL DAY and for one person is simply impractical. Even when my late wife and I baked together, it was too much mess and work. Had issue with getting consistent crust with the correct texture. This cuts to the chase. Or rather TO THE TASTE. No endless rolling pin exercises, don't have to cut the applies...just bake and devour. It's a major taste of "down home" without hours of labor.

Delicious, classic old-fashioned 🍎 Apple Pie. Good served by itself. Good served a-la mode - with a small scoop of vanilla ice-cream on top. Yes, it must be vanilla. I prefer Great Value vanilla bean ice cream. Baking this frozen pie in your oven makes your kitchen %26 living room smell wonderful. We usually buy one of these apple pies to celebrate holidays that fall in warm weather - Memorial Day and Fourth of July.

I appreciate products with fewer artificial additives and true "naturally grown, non-GMO non-engineered produce". This product MAY meet a few of these.

The best apple pie I have ever had including my own which I always thought was pretty good! Great ingredients and it baked up perfectly. No burnt crust or hard chewy apple slices. It came out golden brown. YUMMY

This was very well done. Needed a little more sugar. There are a lot of people though, that would be extremely pleased that it didn't go overboard on the sugar! Not baked but ready for the oven. You'll have to cover the crust for part of the time.

THIS PIE WAS A SURPRIZE. I BOUGHT THIS FOR A QUICK DESSERT. IT WAS VERY GOOD. IN FACT: IT TASTED BETTER THAN THE NAME BRAND. I COOKED IT WITH MY HAM. THE APPLES WERE VERY GOOD. I DON'T KNOW WHAT THEY WERE TALKING ABOUT BEING CHEWY. I WILL BUY THIS PIE AGAIN. I TOLD MY SISTER ABOUT IT THEY HAVE TRIED IT TO. AND LIKED IT

This is a tasty apple pie. Someone gave it a bad review and stated they should've bought a Sara Lee pie. Huh, s/he should check out Sara's ingredients. It's not something I'd serve. I usually make pies myself, but the Great Value pie has decent ingredients you can pronounce and no artificial ingredients or high fructose corn syrup; so, eat without worrying.

The pie was very runny after baking for an hour and cooling. The taste was not good too much cinnamon taste and not enough apple flavor.

The crust was great, but the apples were hard as a rock. Cooking instruction was @ 375 for 60-65 min. I cooked it for 80 mins. @ 385. So if you like crust with a taste of Apple this pie is for you.

One of the worst pies I've ever had. There was ZERO sweetness to it. I had to check the box to see if I accidentally ordered a zero added sugar pie. We could not eat it.
