I was really impressed with the quality of this Great Value Deli-Sliced Turkey Breast! The slices are tender, not dry or rubbery like some brands, and they have a nice, natural turkey flavor — not overly salty or artificial. It tastes just as good as what you’d get from the deli counter but at a much better price. The large 32 oz pack is perfect for families or meal prep. I use it for sandwiches, wraps, salads, and even quick protein snacks throughout the week. It stays fresh for a good amount of time in the fridge and separates easily (no clumping together). Overall, this is a great buy — high-quality, flavorful, and budget-friendly. Definitely my go-to turkey from now on!
As a busy mom, this Great Value sliced turkey breast has been a lifesaver. It makes throwing together quick lunches so much easier, especially on those hectic mornings when everyone’s hungry right now. My kids actually eat it without complaining, which is always a win, and I like that it’s not overly salty like some other lunch meats. The slices are easy to work with, whether I’m making sandwiches, roll-ups, or just handing a few pieces over as a quick snack. Plus, the price really helps stretch the grocery budget, which matters a lot these days. It’s one of those simple staples I keep coming back to because it just makes mom life a little easier.
I buy the 2 lb pack because it's more economical, and I not only make sandwiches with it, I also cook with it. I'll upload some pictures, and a recipe; it's easy, healthy, and delicious. Use 2 pots, one for the Mac and cheese, and one to simmer the turkey and broccoli. Follow the directions for the Mac and cheese on the package. I substitute half and half for the milk; you don't have to, but I like it. Please don't use salt when you boil the water, not necessary, and too much salt is not good for us. Simmer the turkey and broccoli, no need to boil. After your Mac and cheese is ready and mixed, drain the turkey and broccoli, and gently mix. Sit down and relax and enjoy. Pictures from my summer kitchen.
I actually buy it for my 16 year old cat. I cut it in half wrap 5 pieces in parchment paper and put them in a gallon freezer bag and pull them out one at a time and put them in a old deli container. She gets one half slice every night at 7pm . She will not eat the Blue Buffalo treats I give my other two cats. SPOILED 😽😸😻
The brand name says it all, it truly is a great value when compared to deli brands of turkey by the pound. It is delicious and the perfect cold cuts for sandwiches, wraps etc.
Thickness is inconsistent from very thin to thick Also the amount of water varies. Sometimes meat package has so much liquid %26 is so wet I have to blot with paper towel and store in a plastic container. But its ok especially if you dont like the thin available from other name brands
Tastes fine. I add a bit of mayo on 2 slices of "low carb" bread for a sandwich. Only drawback for me is there are some carbs in both the bread %26 and the sliced turkey. It takes 6 slices of the turkey to make reasonable sandwich. And I try to avoid bread most of the time.
it seems like every other time we get one of these the 'zip closure' is permanently sealed and we end up having to move unused slices into a zip loc storage bag. 2 lb substituted for ordered 2 - 1 pound packages (because, once open, the 2 lb package will not remain good until we can use it)
I love oven turkey sandwich for my kids school lunches 🥪♥️ this one is perfect, not as salty as Kirkland brand. I stopped going there because poor customer service. it's a hassle plus they charge a lot for membership. thank you Walmart ⭐🛒🌟
I don’t know what has happened, this used to be very good turkey. The past 3 times that I purchased it I noticed it had a horrible tastes.. like dirt and salt. But everything is being over processed and lacking natural flavors. I quit buying it, reminds me of really bad catfish that tastes like the mud it came out of. What happened?
