When I was a kid I was hooked on Oreos. Now, 60 years after leaving childhood behind, I've gotten hooked on Walmart Twist %26 Shout chocolate sandwich cookeies. Compared to Oreos: 1. They have a rich, very dark chocolate flavor that I love. (I've always loved very dark chocolate; when I was litte, my Dad and I used to "fight" over the Semi Sweets in the Hershey Miniatures Christmas assortment bags.) 2. They're more fragile than I remember Oreos being... they're easier to break when twisting them open. 3. Nutritionally speaking, either one is a disaster. So don't make them a major part of your diet, already! (Crunch, crunch, yum, yum!)
My husband is addicted to these cookies! He loves them dipped in milk, along with a bowl of ice cream, frozen by themselves too. We just have to watch it because we both are heavy and need to be careful of our calorie consumption. These cookies make it hard to be good!
I bought these for pie crust recipe. I ate the cookies instead. Yep, I have no self-control. Yep, they are that good.
these cookies taste so much like those expensive Oreo ones that you won't be disappointed they are chocolatey and just the right amount of creme definitely satisfied chocolate craving with this cookie and does break your wallet definitely recommend these for that Oreo oh yeah feeling they are low carbs and less sugar and goes great with tea or coffee and the are just the right amount of sweetness you want in a chocolate cookie won't be disappointed as long as they don't sell out before you try them!!🥰💐💖
These are practically unrecognizably different from the name brand. When used as an ingredient rather than on their own (so you don’t see the different markings on the cookies), even my pickiest friends can’t tell that they’re store brand. I may even prefer the texture of these.
These have a very artificial/chemical taste to me. I usually love all things great value, but they missed the mark on this one. Ingredients need to change for sure to get that odd taste out in my opinion
No, just no. The cookie is great, tastes almost like Oreo. The icing is sticky and sweet. You’re not able to pull the cookies apart like Oreos and eat 1/2 with icing and 1/2 plain. Maybe just a personal preference, but I’m gonna stick with real Oreos.
I love the original name brand version but they are absurdly expensive. i was hoping these were going to be a cheaper replacement but they are chalky and have very little cream flavor. theyre my least favorite knock offs ever and they are still to expensive.
The picture on the outside of the package makes it looks like the white cream in the center of the cookie extends all the way to the edges of the cookie, the reality is the white cream is very limited on the inside of the cookie. There’s a at least an 8th inch gap between the edge of the cookie and where the white cream begins all the way around the cookie. My next purchase, I will go back to the namebrand cookie this GV brand imitates.
Decent, but not quite the same. They definitely give you that cookies and cream vibe, but the flavor is a little off compared to the name brand. The cookie part is a bit more dry and the filling is sweeter and less creamy. Still totally snackable, especially for the price, and they get eaten without complaints. Good budget option, just do not expect them to fully replace the original.
