Great Value Walnuts Halves & Pieces, 8 oz

my pet is a parrot and parrots require a no salt diet. even though found in the baking isle i am glad this is available for purchase thru Walmart.com or at my local Walmart in store shopping. my parrot has a large variety of foods to choose from and walnuts is diffently her most favorite. am also glad it is available in the great value brand.

Fresh and a great value as compared to buying whole walnuts in the shell. In my experience, as much as 20% of the whole walnuts that you get are either bad or not fresh. Some whole walnuts have webs from bugs and others have mold or are stale inside cracked shells. The walnut halves definitely give you the most bang for your buck by weight and the quality is noticeably better.

they taste fresh. right size pack to eat a few out of. walnuts are good for you. i like the halves and pieces as they not all tiny pieces. bag reseals good

nuts always add a good taste to cookies or whatever you're baking. I eat them for a snack, i limit how many I eat due to the fact they are high in fat

Eat as is, in cookies, diced on cake icing, diced and sprinkled over a tossed salad. Spray a wee bit of a little buttery oil on them, sprinkle with taco seasoning, bake at medium temp in the oven until you smell the aroma; cool and eat out of hand, on a salad, or add to trail mix for a bit of Mexico.

Although a remarkable protein source for an afternoon snack, if eaten solo these walnuts are crunchy, yet slightly dry, with not much flavor. Probably, I would only purchase them if I could not find anything better.

Very fresh , each purchase . I buy these Yearround , especially over the holiday season. Nice and crunchy , very delicious and the quantity is a great buy !! Time for me to stock up again . I love baking and these walnuts on my Banana Bread were delicious ( I toasted them and crunched them up into bite size pieces).

I can get 1lb. bags right around the corner from this store for $6.49 and 8oz bags for $3.09 at same or better quality. "Good Value" doesn't seem to be such a good value. Why such a high price at Walmart???

These walnut halves and pieces were BLACK!! I suspect they got wet when harvesting and then moldy. Also , there were very few halves in the bag, mostly pieces. Some Great Value brands are very good but this one is not. I will only buy brand name nuts from now on. Buy this brand at your own risk.

Do not buy the Great value walnuts. This is my second purchase ad despite the best by date being late 2023 they taste old and stale. Once shame on you, twice shame on me. I will not purchase again. By the way I was in the middle of baking for Christmas had to drop everything and go to Mejiers for good walnuts. One star only because I had to choose a star.
