Walmart eggs, no matter the size, are a great buy for the money. Other stores may have periodic "one time" sales, but Walmart usually has the best prices, overall. Eggs in a box are uniform in size, not random sizes that I have gotten from other stores. Walmart seems goes to go to EGGstremes to supply quality products.
Eggs arrived it their own bag, undamaged, not one egg was broken, arrived on time and were placed on my porch with care and with a future expiration date. I ordered through the Walmart Local Delivery Service (my first time) and I am very happy with the service I received.
I have been buying eggs my entire adult life and only recently, standing in the Walmart dairy aisle at 11pm in my house slippers, did it occur to me to ask: large compared to what? I have never seen a small egg. I have never been handed an egg and thought, wow, this is a modest egg. An egg that knows its place. Every egg I have ever encountered has been introduced to me as large, and yet none of them have ever felt particularly impressive. This is the egg equivalent of every guy describing himself as 6 feet tall. So where are the small eggs? A secret government facility full of tiny eggs that Big Agriculture does not want you to know about? I have questions and the carton offers no answers. If these are large, then what is bigger? Americans have supersized everything else. The cup holders in my truck could fit a small child. My television is the size of a therapist's office. Breast augmentation is a multi-billion dollar industry. We have, as a culture, made our feelings about size very clear. I simply do not understand why the egg has been allowed to stagnate. Where is the ambition. Where is the vision. The crack was perfect. Clean. Decisive. No shell fragments, no hesitation, no long jagged fault line that sends yolk sliding toward your phone. I have had eggs that cracked like a legal dispute. These cracked like a firm handshake. The yolks get five stars. I gave them five stars because I am a coward. What is a one star yolk? Is it gray? Is it moving? Does it look back at you? The yolk here was a deep, confident yellow. It held its shape. It had self-respect. I gave it five stars the way you tip generously after a long flight lands safely. Because somewhere out there, someone is staring at a one star yolk, and it is not you, and you will not take that for granted. Consistency was impeccable. I do not want my eggs to surprise me. I am not opening a carton at 7am hoping for an adventure. I want twelve agreements, not twelve personalities. These eggs had integrity. Fluffiness nearly broke me. I scrambled four and achieved a fluffiness that made me briefly emotional. I stood at the stove and thought: I could be a person who has their life together. The eggs suggested this was possible. Whether it is remains to be seen. Five stars. Would buy again. Still have concerns about the size thing. Please do not show me the one star yolk.
These eggs are as fresh as we in AK can get without having our own chickens! They cook up wonderfully well in cakes and cookies. The price is kind of high, but with the Avian flu that hit and killed so many chickens, it's something we have to live with.
Through the years I have been buying Great Value eggs and have never had any problem with them. I actually prefer getting the Large eggs, and they taste good in whatever I use them for, including hard-boiling them and I boil them, take the shell off them and eat them as they are without condiments.
I am the Egg Man! I learned to prepare them at a young age working in a restaurant. I cook them by frying, scrambling, poaching, steaming, and boiling, and I really like pickled eggs. With help from the internet, I am venturing into baking and use a lot of eggs in that endeavor as well. They are a great source of protein, and a Great Value!
Somehow 6 eggs were cracked on the bottom when I checked them at the kitchen table after the delivery man handed them to me. So maybe they were injured at the store. This has happened before. I think it is better to not order eggs for delivery. The uncracked eggs were fresh and delicious.
Received notice that my Walmart order had arrived. Looking on my doorstep it had not. After talking with several Walmart representatives they said they would send it again. Once more it was sent to the wrong place. So I talked to told me to wait 48 hours and order again. I could not do that since I neededsome of the food items immediately finally, someone arranged to bring the order to me, however incomplete. It was a very frustrating experience.
Plus member grocery delivery today. Don't know how item left the store. 5 of 12 eggs broken. Not cracked…broken. These need to be checked before delivered. I had a raw egg mess!! Then app wanted me to return them for refund!! I had to call customer service to issue a refund. Still not processing refund yet. Ridiculous
I ordered eggs I believe October 15. I'm trying to get them out of the carton and there are at least six or maybe more that are cracked on the bottom. I can't even pull them some of them out of the carton because they're i ordered eggs I believe October 15. I'm trying to get them out of the carton and there are at least six or maybe more that are cracked on the bottom. I can't even pull them out of the carton because they're stuck. It would cost me more to get an Uber to take me back to Walmart so I would like to request a refund to my card ending in 1239
