These are SO SO SO good! AND... They make amazing snacks! Especially if you want to eat something that doesn't raise your blood sugars. (I am not a doctor, but I am speaking from my personal experience with these.) (Your outcome may be a little different) (Always consult with a doctor for information about what to eat to help with blood sugars) I put a couple of these Great Value Mozzarella Cheese Sticks in my purse, when I am going out places, and then if I want to have a yummy pick-me-up snack, I can just eat one of these. It is both quick AND delicious! They are great for on the go and for snacking or even as a part of a meal! And I have made some incredible fried mozzarella cheese sticks with these! Here is my SECRET RECIPE FOR MAKING YUMMY IN THE TUMMY FREID MOZZARELLA CHEESE STICKS! Take 3 cheese sticks, put some oil in a pan on the stove, cut the cheese sticks in half, get two bowls and one can of your favorite bread crumbs, add 1/2 cup of white all-purpose flour to one bowl, and you can add your favorite seasonings to the flour, and mix it all up, then, add 1 egg in another bowl, (mix up the egg good) and then dip and roll the cheese sticks into the flour, then the egg, then the flour again, and the egg again, and then sprinkle bread crumbs over them, and smoosh them into the bread crumbs on all sides. and then turn on the stove and set the stove so that it gets the oil hot, and stick the cheese sticks into the oil, using tongs, and after about one minute, flip them and fry them until golden brown. You can sprinkle them with salt to flavor them more. And there you go! Y-U-M-M-Y! Oh, and when you take them out of the pan, set them on napkins, on a plate.
Definitely real mozzarella cheese with a great "pull" when putting on a heated sandwich or cutting into little circles to put on pizza. I would say even better than well-known brand names!
I really wish *EVERY* Walmart carried these and on a consistent basis too! These are SO much better (creamy, richer, delicious) than skim milk string cheese. You can taste the difference!
What a difference the whole milk makes in string cheese! The part skim ones end up hard and weird. These have a nice smooth texture with a nice cheese pull! Don't waste your money on anything other than the whole milk string cheese!
The GV Whole Milk Low Moisture Mozzarella Cheese Sticks Are So Good! The Taste Is Great! Just As Good As The Name Brand Cheese Sticks Without The Higher Cost! I Highly Recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
flavor and texture is ultimately good but they seem a bit tough. still, appreciate a variety with no skim in it. i cant believe this ultra unhealthy fat free crap from the 90s is still clinging on. trying to buy greek yogurt with fat in it instead of half a bag of sugar in it is impossible and its infuriating
About the same price as store-brand string cheese at other grocery stores for the same quantity. Tastes good. But they're not made with RBST-free milk so they're not organic, unlike the store-brand string cheese at Aldi and Lidl. I only buy string cheese at Walmart if I am in a pinch.
I usually buy the part skim, great value string cheese selection. But, even tho I requested a refund if out of stock-the shopper gave me these instead %26 I didn't notice the switch until I ate 1🤦🏻♀️. As much as I LUV💜 the part skim version, is as much as I dislike the whole milk version. Yuck!! I have tried several different brands %26 versions of string cheeses. Most were too salty, %26/or too rubbery, I like %26 enjoy great value's part skim string cheese. It's my favorite😁!!!
yea they taste fine. the problem is they're all different shapes and sizes. with that how can you be sure you're actually getting all the ounces it says on the package. i noticed atleast 3 different sizes. this was not my favorite substitution at all. i think i deserve my money back.
This has been my go-to string cheese for over a year now. It used to be perfection. Right saltiness, easy to peel. But now something has changed. The cheese is VERY tart tasting. Salt level is not there and honestly it just tastes terrible now. I don't know what has changed but I'm not willing to continue buying in hopes that they'll get this issue corrected. So I'll be on a new search for string cheese again and Great Value is completely off the list of options. This cheese is now gross and disgusting.
