Best Mozzarella on the market. I have tried other brand names, and this whole milk mozzarella is the best!. I make home made lasagna, with fresh pasta, and this adds a creamy, melty layer.
I'm a bit of a pizza snob, and I have to say, this Great Value Mozzarella really surprised me. The taste is fantastic—it has that perfect creamy flavor you want without being overly salty. The moisture content is spot on too. Sometimes cheaper cheeses are either too watery or way too dry, but this melts beautifully. It's also great for shredding; it doesn't gum up the grater, which makes prep for pizza night so much faster. Honestly, this stands up to any expensive brand I've tried. You're getting premium quality at a much better price. If you make a lot of homemade pizza or pasta, you can't go wrong with this one! My kids use it on sandwiches and burritos but can pretty much sprinkle it on anything.
I buy this cheese all the time for my kids to eat with their Triscuits for school snacks. It is just as good as name brands. It shreds beautifully and melts perfectly on homemade pizza. sometimes it gets a little orange or moldy sooner than I think it should but if you use it when you open it, it's perfect.
love that it's 100% whole milk, thats what I look for. it's great in Italian food like lasagna homemade pizza,it has nice flavor, melts easily and it's also delicious snacking with fruit or by itself. Definitely recommend it, the price can't be beat.
i have bought the more expensive mozzarella cheese in the past but due to grocery prices rising I thought I'd try WM brand. I can barely tell much difference. its not quite as rich tasting but that's fine with me.
I searched for fresh mozzarella and didn't realize this is not that variety. But I still used it in my English muffin pizzas. It has calcium and protein and it does melt well, but I got spoiled. But if you aren't picky, this whole milk mozz is way better than the low-moisture block mozz.
Priced fairly %26 works o.k. on salads %26 cold pasta dishes But when baked it becomes rubbery so it is not suited for baked casseroles %26 pizzas. A quality whole milk mozz is smooth %26 creamy %26 wonderful in a lasagna, for example. I would gladly pay more for an upgraded quality of whole milk Mozz.
An unopened package, and 2 weeks prior to the best by date, and the cheese turns moldy. Which is really saying something for cheese. Watch your expiration dates on what you have delivered to your home. I've never had cheese that was closer than 4 to 6 months expiration. To have had two packages of cheese that were 6 weeks away from expiration is sad. I did get a refund for the second package. The first package started to turn until I saved what I could shredded it and put it in the freezer thinking that it was just opened too long. Watch your dates!
I try to use these for Pizzas but they contain way too much water, I have to shred, press in toweks and leave them to dry out before usage.
the last 3 times i've ordered cheese for pick up its been a disaster. once the mozzarella cheese was missing which i made the claim and was refunded. the second time was feta cheese which arrived open and i felt embraced to make the claim after having filed a refund the purchase prior. this last time i bought 3 mozzarella cheese's and 1 came open as seen in the pictures. i bought a summer sausage that came expired and some other things have occurred. i haven't asked for a refund prior to my first time as not to be labeled a scammer by walmart but walmarts pick up service is starting to really suck.
