much better than most of the name brand O rings. first they use full onion slices, not onion mush thats interspersed in bread crumbs like alot of brands seem to be doing now for some reason. secondly it is a batter thats more like a homemade one, using seasoned breadcrumbs not a beer batter, which some people like me prefer.
This bag of onion rings, especially since they're battered it's absolutely delicious. Easy to use if you have an air fryer preheat put them in. Let them cook according to the bag flip them around put them back on flip them out or you know let them sit and enjoy they are great if you put your chicken in with them I use your tasty bird chicken finger through the little chicken bites. They're wonderful. I can't say enough about them and yes, I refer them.
Great Value Frozen Whole Onion Rings! Talk about fantastically crisp and delicious! We love them! They're made with fresh whole onion slices, not chopped up onions, like so many of the freezer brands do! That was they taste like you went to all the trouble of fixing them yourself, instead of baking them in your oven! They are perfect. PERFECT! Enjoy! 👍🏻Suzan G
I hadn't had any earrings forever and I bought a pack. They were so incredibly good. I couldn't believe I wasn't sitting in a restaurant, but like I needed it I went ahead and tried it a different brand that was more money and they weren't good at all and now I buy great value and I buy two at a time. I love these and they are great trim you'll like them.
I'm happy to say that these onion rings were very delicious. I deep fried them in great value vegetable oil. They're not seasoned and that's perfect for me. Perfectly coated. They were crispy and crunchy. doesn't take long to fry so be careful not to over cooked them. there's enough in the bag for 3 to 4 people to have four pieces each.
This product represents the best offering I have encountered in the market to date. It features authentic onion rings encased in a genuine batter, which consistently fries to a crisp and crunchy texture. Furthermore, the pricing is highly competitive and advantageous.
I honestly wasn't expecting much from a frozen onion ring, but these Great Value Whole Onion Rings really surprised me. They are officially a permanent addition to our burger nights. They have just the right amount of seasoning and a satisfying crunch. If you're looking for an easy, delicious side dish that actually tastes homemade, these are a "great value" indeed!
It was awhile since I purchased Onion Rings due to my food budget. I decided to splurge and bought these. I've had the Great Value onion rings before and just never left a review. I will say it is a family favorite. They are real onions and not diced up in some breading. They are also not as salty or "diced" as another store here in our town. I forgot this time but will buy another bag next grocery trip.
So- So onion rings. Are they as good as homemade? Certainly not, but if you're craving onion rings and can't get to a restaurant they will satisfy your craving They cook up very quickly and crispy in an air fryer, but the coating is a heavy corn meal mix type coating, not a not crispy light tempura type.
The flavor is good and doesn't have a "Beer batter" taste (major plus). Unfortunately these onion rings get pretty darn hard when deep frying. I've tried cooking them at various temperatures and lengths of time and they always come out hard, not crunchy; just down right hard.
