The product was fine. Wanted to have something other than frozen blueberries on my cereal, and these would work, except they are almost too big to stuff into my mouth. Because of their size, it gets pretty cold in my mouth, so I have to slow down the chewing. Quality was fine. Ended up using the last half of the bag to make a smoothie (don't need to add ice when adding frozen fruit to the blender), and everyone enjoyed the smoothie. I don't want to leave them in the fridge to thaw since I don't eat cereal often enough to prevent spoilage to fruit in the fridge. Going back to blueberries atop cereal since those are easier to get into my mouth. If you need whole strawberries, these are great.
I started weight loss injections 3 weeks ago so I'm eating 98% healthier now and I decided to try Great value strawberries and blueberries in my zero sugar added fat-free yogurt and these strawberries were absolutely delicious, I added three frozen strawberries and six blueberries to my my nonfat sugar-free yogurt and I let them sit in the yogurt for a little while until they semi-thawed and then I cut up the strawberries and mixed it really good and it just made my yogurt absolutely delicious. I did add about A teaspoon of cinnamon as well and it was just so good, I can't believe I haven't started eating healthier sooner!!! these strawberries are absolutely delicious and I definitely recommend!!!
These berries are bigger than the fresh ones I got from the store. They are all in excellent shape -- not spots have to be removed -- and they are unsweetened, which is really important for me. I can use these for so many things -- baking, of course, salads, protein/fruit plates, sliced and sweetened for short cake. Much more economical than fresh berries that are so fragile and don't last long.
Wonderful alternative to fresh. I never used enough fresh before they rotted, so it was expensive waste. Now for cereal to sundaes, I can set some on the cutting board and in less than 5 minutes, they're sliced and ready to use. No waste, great taste!
...I never thought this would prove to be true, but the frozen strawberries were better than the fresh ones in the product department. The taste was better, the coloring was better, and I didn't have to worry about getting two or three 'rotten' or 'molded' ones down in the bottom of the basket, as is the case about every five times that I purchase produce berries.
Love these strawberries. Great price, wonderful berries. If you don't need the strawberries to keep their shape (for example, in recipes), these strawberries are the best. You do not need to pay for "bad" berries or the tops you will cut off fresh berries. Also, all the work is done for you.
I like the strawberries! The only thing I had a problem with, was a large strawberry stem that I found as I poured some out of the bag into my small bowl !! I just wanted to let people know that it would help to check the bag or bowl before you eat one or choke on a stem! Strawberries are good but check for other debris / stems ;-)
This is the only way I buy strawberries anymore. I find these to be very good quality and I love I can just thaw out what I need . I also use them frozen cut up and add them to sugar free vanilla yogurt that I make into round mounds and drizzle sugar free Walmart brand liquid chocolate on them and refreeze them for a healthy snack.
These are good if you are mixing in something like smoothies and cake mixes or just eating. Cleaner than fresh strawberries but just as tasty. Some can be a little mushy when thawed %26 some can lose their color; I adjust the color with a little natural red food coloring when I'm making something for company or church. Thaw quickly, just drain the water %26 they are ready quickly.
Oh! Yucky yucky sooo yucky. Flooded berries drowned in red, thick, syrupy slime. First time using frozen strawberries for my fresh frozen strawberry yogurt pie. I even tried a few rinsed with water but that thick gooey stuff wouldn't come off. The taste is terrible. I'll wait 'til the fresh strawberries are in season not year.
