Great Value Whole Tilapia, 3 lb (Frozen)

I just love a whole fish... it's a wonderful, wonderful fish. Light, it's fluffy %26 delicious... I think we've forgotten ,because we buy boxed fish.( already cut up and ready to put in the oven %26.Usually seasoned.) I truly enjoyed doing my own. And having a choice. Do I want to fry it? Do I wanna put it in the oven and the seasonings to use

This was my first time cooking a whole fish, but I have enjoyed fish prepare that way in restaurants several times. I bought these, and thawed one in the fridge (it took about a day and a half from frozen solid). When it was thawed I saw that it is was already descaled and cleaned and completely ready for me to just go ahead and cook. It didn't smell fishy at all! After scoring both sides, I rubbed oil, salt and spices on the outside, and filled the cavity with garlic, red onions and lemons. I cooked it in my air fryer at 370 degrees Fahrenheit for about 20 minutes. It was succulent, and delicious served with lemon wedges.

One of the best ways to bake, broil, or grill tilapia is the whole fish, with the skin on. This provides the most flavor and seals the juices in, keeping it tender. Just google a good marinade, and go to it! Be careful not to swallow bones, so don't serve it to kids.

Ok first time trying whole tilapia but when I tell u this was the best fish I ever had whole it was fresh n tender meat falling off the bone n I deep fried it I won't buy the pieces of tilapia anymore this is my go too for now I highly recommend this fish it did not disappoint 10/10

this was my first time buying this fish. I was surprise. the fish was quality and quantity. my choice of preparing this fish was fry. delicious!!!

FROM THE FREEZER to oven! 90 minutes. cooked in turkey pot with LID. place oven bowl with water to steam. Tahini dip sauce 4th cup 1 Lemon juice 2 tsp water garlic fresh or powder and presley NO SALT OR PEPPERS.

It's not bad, but it comes kind of dirty, you will need to make sure to clean it well after de-freeze. Flavor is at time inconsistent, not sure why, maybe they way it was frozen, maybe the way it was stored. Not great. But it's affordable and it will fry well.

The fish texture tasted tough. The fish meat was good but cutting into the fish was tough getting through even with a sharp knife. Better to get fresh fish deboned. This fish had many bones. The skin was tough and the meat of one was very thick and tough. I did not particularly like it. It tasted more like farm raised than ocean. The size was a nice portion for each person.

Stays fresh awhile even after thawing. The meat is tender and seems to have recently gotten an upgraded scaling quality. This is better than some live tilapia I've had! The only possible issue is that these are on the larger side, and I prefer smaller fish to serve as whole portions. You may want to either share a fish or build up a big appetite!

i brought these a second time thinking it was fluke. but the fish shouldnt have a smell to it . it smelled spoil through the bag. and when cooking it it didnt go away.
