We go through over 8 gallons of milk a week, so I can tell you from first hand experience… we love our great value brand whole milk! If I ever have to get a different brand my kids immediately taste the difference. Just wish it was cheaper… apparently PA has the second highest milk prices only second to Hawaii, so I don’t think the pricing has anything to do with Walmart but the state/county taxes?
I bought whole milk, by mistake. I have bought 1%, or skim for ever. I decided to give it a try, and I instantly noticed that I enjoyed the difference. My heart doctor recommends, no fat...I've done that for years. I am elderly now, and I want to eat and drink whatever I want. I loved the whole vitamin D , Great Value Milk.
Great Value Whole Vitamin D Milk has become a staple in my home. The taste is rich, creamy, and consistently fresh every single time I buy it. You can immediately tell it’s high quality — it has that classic whole-milk flavor that works perfectly for drinking, cooking, cereal, coffee, everything. The gallon jug is sturdy and easy to pour without making a mess, and the price is unbeatable for the quality you get. It stays fresh longer than other brands I’ve tried, and the texture is smooth and delicious. My family goes through it quickly because everyone loves it! If you’re looking for reliable, affordable, great-tasting milk, this is it. Highly recommend!
Walmart is the only place I buy my milk from and that has been like this for years now the quality is great. Price is amazing. Have no negative things to say and we only use whole milk in my house so there’s always at least 1 gallon being bought every so you could say it is a main staple of my home
I would like to let you know that the driver made no effort to message me that he was enroute to my address. There was a message about 10 minutes later but no photo like there should have been. And, He tried to get into my home! I clearly don't appreciate this. I checked the box to Let At My Door. He made no attempt to knock as well. Please remind him of these things before he delivers again.
I don't like how milk is not the same anymore. makes me think it's fake. every once in a while, I'll get a gallon of real whole milk. and I know as soon as it hits my stomach. it tastes better. and it actually feels like food in my stomach instead of mulched plastic. rice, ground coffee, milk, bread, flour in general, honey... none of it's real anymore. Go ahead, call me crazy.
I want to love this milk. Really, I do. It’s affordable, it’s convenient, and thanks to Walmart I don’t even have to put on real pants to get it. But unfortunately, this milk has one fatal flaw: it sours faster than my mood when someone puts a meeting on my calendar at 4:30 PM. We’re talking “expires February 20” but tastes like February 3rd last year energy. Every time I open a new gallon, it’s like playing dairy roulette. Will it be fresh? Will it already smell like it’s auditioning to become cheese? Who knows! It keeps me on my toes, I’ll give it that. I normally get my milk from Rouses or Publix, where dairy apparently lives a long, fulfilling life, but since I’ve been trying to stick to one store with Walmart , this gallon keeps reminding me why monogamy with grocery stores is risky. Looks like I’ll be making a separate milk run after all… because nothing says “living the dream” like driving across town for unsoured Vitamin D.
It never fails. Whether I get the milk in store and take it straight to my house, or have it delivered, it spoils within 3-4 days. The expiration date might be 10 days to two weeks from purchase date, but it has never even come close. Walmart is good about granting refunds even for this reason.
The expiration date was 3/6/2026 and it soured already. Today is March 1 and there was a half gallon left and I had to dump it out. This has happened to me 3 X before. My refrigerator works and the storage temp is always 38 degrees F. This has also happened with the Great Value 2% fat milk.
HOME DELIVERY WALMART . I have opened 3 gallons of this milk and poured 2 down the drain that were about half full. The one today was 6 days short of the expiration date. I met the 3 separate deliveries at the door and the milk went directly into the refrigerator. Headed to my other grocery store to buy milk now. Walmart must do better than this. I may order again but I won't buy milk again.
