Great Value XL RV & Marine Water Filter, F202, White, Activated Carbon, Camping/Garden/Bathtub

The best aspect of this XL filter is that it lasts longer before replacement is needed. I can pretty much go an entire camping season with just one filter. Everything else works the same as with the regular filters. Screw on and after letting it run a bit to flush the carbon, it's ready to drink from.

I received this Great Value water filter when I got it about 10 days ago and immediately shut the water off to my RV, disconnected the hose at the main spigot and installed this water filter. I'm going to give it a few more days (my water is clear and I don't notice an odor) the water smelled like chlorine before. When I start smelling it again - I'm going to put the 2nd one on the RV end to see if it makes a difference. I'll let you know!

Larger than what I expected but in a positive way! Very heavy duty and well made/solid! I am very pleased that Great Value (Walmart's brand) is making more and more products! ALL of Great Value products are priced extremely reasonably and majority of the Great Value brand products are made well. There is nothing negative to say about this Large filter! Even the "extension" hose attachment is included (not a usual product included by other manufacturers)!

Great water filter to have for our RV. This is so easy to use. It comes with a small adapter which is very nice you usually have to purchase those separately. This is a large one that will last 3 times longer than the normal filter. You just hook it to the water faucet then screw your water hose into the filter. We RV so this helps keep the pressure going good into our RV and also helps filter out all the junk that can sometimes be in the water.

Currently using the filter for our garden beds. We love to grow vegetables every year and unfortunately the water quality where we live is not good. The filter it's self is easy to install. The water taste much better and I can't taste the chlorine. It lasts an average of 6 months but it also depends on water usage.

This is a very large filter. See the comparison picture comparing it to the regular sized Great Value filter and my old camco filter. You see this one is much larger than the other two. I am hoping it will provide greater flow for a longer period. I will see how it goes, whether it is more economical to buy one larger one or a two pack of the smaller ones. It is worth noting that of course space is limited in an RV so if you have a set space where you store your filter make sure this much larger one will fit and not cause an issue. I have always stored mine in a toolbox and this larger one will not fit so I will need to find a new place to store it (and remember where it is) One negative with this product is the flimsy end caps they ship them with. They do the job for shipping because the filter is shrink wrapped which holds the caps in place but once you open it you may as well throw the caps out because they will not stay on. This really should be improved because for those of us that don't stay in one place very long we need to pack that filter up while traveling and good tight fitting end caps are a must to keep dirt out and keep any remaining water from spilling out. I saved the cap from my old camco filter to use on this, though it would be nice to have new clean ones. The inlet screen is different than camcos as well. It is larger in diameter and has a more coarse screen which should allow greater flow but may let larger particles through which could cause quicker failure of the filter. A finer screen would not only catch more particles but would also allow you to clean the screen and reuse the filter but if the gets past the screen and clogs the filter then you will have to throw it away. The screen is also not metal it is made of a rubbery material that is very flexible. Even with these draw backs I think the price of these allow you to replace them more frequently and not use old filters too long and not be as concerned about throwing them out. One very simple thing that may seem unimportant but is a good idea is the area to mark the date of first use. Yeah I know I could just write it anywhere on the filter and probaly will but just seeing that on the filter just may act as a reminder to fill it in when otherwise you may have forgotten to. Nd it is important to because time flies and we think we just put it on recently when actually it may e overdue for a change.

I just bought this Camper water filter and we are really excited to try it out. I normally buy the smaller size, but decided to try the extra large this time It looks like all you do is hook it up to your water hose and it filters the water, which we really need to do because this water doesn't taste good. It's very sturdy and Looks very easy to install I love the Great value brand and always love to try it versus name brand and i'm always very satisfied. I will definitely buy more in the future

I am definitely impressed with this water filter. It was easy to hook up to the outside faucet and connect to our garden hose. We tend to change the water in our hot tub every three months and sometimes the water we get out of the faucet is a little brown and smells strong of chlorine when the town flushes the water system from time to time. This filter did exactly what it was supposed to do and make the water clear and fresh for us to fill up the hot tub. I will definitely be using these more in the future.

I was very excited to receive this product since I'm the owner of a travel trailer. Many times the campground water is not very tasty. This product allows me to filter all my incoming water to remove the bad taste, odor, and chlorine. This eliminates the need for the countertop water filter that I normally use when camping. It's very easy to attach at the incoming water source. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who owns an RV or travel trailer.

This filter is good for a variety of uses including RVs, Boats, Campers, Garden Hoses and more. You can get an attachment for the filter as well. The filter comes with instructions, be sure to read these, and is fairly easy to install. I like that the filter is so versatile and can be used in a variety of ways. Using the filter does seem to make a difference in the taste of the water. And I like knowing I am adding a little added protection to the water I am drinking. The filter lasts for 6 months or apx 600 gallons of water. For the protection you are getting the filter is reasonable priced. I will purchase this in the future and would recommend.
