For large family dinners and holidays, I was purchasing the large bag of name brand yeast dinner rolls at a wholesale club. The club quit carrying the rolls so I had to purchase elsewhere. While placing a Walmart curbside pickup order, I noticed the Great Value Yeast Dinner Rolls and added them to the cart. I prepared the rolls as I normally would by basting with melted butter prior to baking. Once my family started eating, they asked about where I got the rolls. The feedback was better flavor and texture. To make sure this wasn't just an extraordinary batch on that first try, we have since had them several times and the quality has been consistent.
Super impressed with these. Wasn't sure what to expect but these are awesome rolls that can be used in so many interesting and creative ways. I've made them with dinner of course, but I've also used them to make mini breakfast sliders (sausage egg and cheese). Too good! I've had them with both savory and sweet butter . I've tried plain butter and garlic parmesan butter, and also a sweet cinnamon honey butter (the one by the Bettergoods brand at Walmart is great). I've gotten them twice so far and FYI both of my bags have come with 11 in them even though the bag says 10 count. No disappointments!! Get them.
These are the best quick and easy dinner rolls! Way better than the name brand! Super soft and tasty. I have used them as little sandwich rolls for party trays or with a meatball in them for a little two or three bite goodie for parties with finger food. Always a hit with everyone when I heat these bad boys up! PLEASE, PLEASE don't go re-invent the wheel with the recipe or anything!
These rolls are pretty good. They are heavier and not as fluffy as their competitor's rolls. They don't have as much of a yeasty taste as others. For the price I'd probably buy again but I prefer the other ready-to-bake rolls over these. My package had 13 rolls which was a nice surprise. Maybe their machines fill the bags by weight instead of by count.
Handy to have these waiting in the freezer, but have to say that when I think of yeast rolls, I imagine something softer and not as dark in color 🤔 It's possible of course, that I just got an over-cooked batch, but can't imagine I'll buy these ever again. [That being said,Walmart, if you see this, and it is the case that this was simply a bad batch and you want to replace, I'd be happy to try them again and update my review]
I love sister Schubert rolls and this is a good substitute for a good price however it says 10 count in this round. I only got nine rolls instead of the 10 so I was a little bit disappointed otherwise rolls are pretty good. The count was defubwfore we fixed them …just incase you were wondering
These are not what I ordered. I ordered brown and serve rolls and this is what they changed them for and they weren't supposed to give me anything other than brown and serve. After trying one I ended up throwing the bag in the trash with the remainder of the rolls.
These are the worst yeast rolls I've ever had in my life, no yeast fragrance no yeast taste and they did not rise. One iota, terrible roles and you probably won't put this review out because they are so bad I shouldn't even have had to pay for these. They're terrible. The bread is delicious. The rolls are junk if you want yeast rolls.
Ordered these due to a friend's recommendation and ……. I'm not sure if I just got a bad batch, but the rolls are off and taste rancid/spoiled. There isn't any butter in them, just egg, so I'm guessing maybe the eggs in the batch were off when they made the rolls at the factory? I had to toss the entire bag. Back to frozen pillsbury biscuits I go…..
I ordered the Texas Roadhouse dinner rolls but got these instead. I was aghast when I took them out of the bag because they were already opened. They did issue me a refund but that's not good enough. It's the fact they were already open. How does this happen?
