I'll start out by telling you I somehow managed to screw up the set up, it is very easy to set up but I was rushing through it and did something dumb. I called the customer service number and I will give them huge thumbs up they are understanding patient and never rush you the young lady walked me through everything making me feel as if helping me was the only thing she had to do that day. I truly cannot say enough about the customer service it was totally 5 star start to finish. As for using the phone my niece came over and showed me all the functions how to use them this only took about 20-30 minutes it was very easy to learn even for someone like me who lacks skills in electronic things. I am very happy so far the only con I see is battery life I was use to only charging my old phone once or twice a week. My niece tells me the battery life is normal but because the phone does so much more then my old phone it will need to be charged more often.
I bought this for my cousin. We both found it to be very easy to use. Excellent interface to see amount of texts and data used. Also has the 5star alert, which she insisted upon.
This has certainly been a great buy for me and Walmart.com with free shipping to store has been great. Phone is pretty easy so far....I love how it stays charged for so long. My previous phone had to be charged every night and sometimes in the middle of the day and I have gone as long as three days with this phone.
Replaced a iphone 5s with this jitterbug. It is so much easier to use. Yes, I am of a certain age, I am used to computers but was overwhelmed with the lack of user friendly interface on the Iphone..
Bought this for my wife and it Works as advertised. Great call's C/S is excellent. I wouldn't recommend it for someone who uses a lot of data since the largest data plan great call has is 2.5 gig a month. But the wife is happy with the phone.
I got this phone for my mom and I think it's a good fit for someone who has been reluctant to get a smartphone. Easy to use.
I got this for my mother (89 yrs) and she can handle it fine. Her previous phone was a Boost ZTE MAX that had larger text but had too many bells and whistles for her to handle at times. But she learned well on that phone and now downgrading to the Great Call phone is very easy for her to navigate. I thought of getting her a flip but she likes to see the large time and date (she has very low eyesight) and she loves the calculator app. Also she was impressed with the flashlight app that I put on for her. The large apps are easy to see and press, unlike a regular smartphone. Best of all she saves $15 a month over the Boost. She didn't want the extra cost safety stuff, 911 is okay with her. I think its a keeper.
Purchased Jitterbug Smartphone for our 94-year old Mother who has some arthritis in her hands. Typical of her age, Mom is a bit slow to learn new tricks though she does have a very sharp intellect. She had difficulty answering calls, and I must agree, the procedure for answering calls on this Smartphone was even confusing for me and I get along fine with my iPhones and other devices. Also, the 5Star button is positioned very front and center at bottom of screen...right where we naturally wanted to grip the phone...and we hit that button by mistake more than once. We have now ordered the Jitterbug Flip Phone as it appears to be more senior-friendly. The Flip doesn't have as many bells and whistles, but this 94-year old doesn't need any fluff. The smartphone is probably better suited for a slightly younger senior.
Verizon makes a Smartphone with a plan that is less expensive than Great Call plans, we are told that the camera on the Verizon phone is much better, so we returned the item to Walmart.
This phone just keeps blacking out and there's no warranties for them.
