GRECELL Portable Foldable 200W Solar Panel Kit for Camping RV Power Station

Received these panels a week ago and finally had the chance to put them to the test today on February 14th. The weather is around 45F (7C) outside, and I'm situated at 43 degrees north latitude. Connected them to a Rich Solar 20A mppt solar charge controller as part of my portable solar generator system. Consistently gathered between 183 to 196 watts of energy, which I find quite impressive considering the cool weather conditions. Even though performance might dip in hotter temperatures, I'm pleased with the current outcomes. Concluded that the panels are wired in parallel after covering one and observing the results. The build quality seems solid, and setting them up is as hassle-free as any set of 4-segment solar panels of similar dimensions. They are relatively lightweight, and once positioned, they hold their place without sagging. Each segment comes with a stand, and the standard MC4 output cables along with the multi-prong adapter cable add to its versatility. While it doesn't have provisions for directly charging devices, this feature contributes to its water resistance°™a factor I was aware of when purchasing. I have other 100-watt panels for that purpose if needed. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with this purchase, and after testing them out, I plan on acquiring a second unit soon.

They unfold into four large, highly efficient panels that consistently yield around 183W, the highest output I've seen so far. I anticipate closer to their rated 200W during summer when exposed to direct sunlight. Without a doubt, I would repurchase these panels. In fact, I intend to mount them on the roof-rack of my rooftop tent, necessitating another unit for ground-level portability. There's no consideration for switching to another brand; I am now fully committed to solar energy. Furthermore, this panel comes equipped with connectors compatible with almost any panel or device you might have. The only drawback is its weight. While suitable for vehicle use, it's definitely not designed for hiking. The promotional images show someone seemingly hiking with the panel, but that's far from practical. Nevertheless, this particular model isn't tailored for hiking purposes, just like most 200W panels out there.

This solar panel is user-friendly, with a fast setup process and convenient storage. It took some time to charge up, which was anticipated during January in Michigan where sunlight is limited. However, once the sun emerged, it charged up swiftly. I would definitely recommend it and wouldn't hesitate to buy it again.

Purchased the 200W solar panel and was impressed with its portability. The packaging was excellent, using ample Styrofoam for protection. It's designed in a suitcase style with legs and two snaps on the side for closure, which I found convenient. I appreciate its efficiency even under cloudy conditions, and its lightweight nature allows me to easily move it to the top of the van or place it on the ground. Without a doubt, I would purchase it again.

Initially, the panel only charged my power station at 73 watts consistently without going higher. However, after an update, I was contacted by customer service and they promptly sent me a replacement. With the new panel, I achieved 132 charging volts and managed to charge my solar generator in just 5 hours. The performance was outstanding, and everything worked seamlessly.

Considering the price point for a monocrystalline panel, there isn't much to criticize. In a video demonstration, my power bank was already at capacity and drawing 50W from this panel. While this solar panel can potentially output up to 200W, my power bank didn't require that amount of power at the time. During other testing sessions, I consistently achieved around 100W of output. It's important to note that to reach the full 200W potential, the panel needs to be positioned perpendicular to the sun. In conclusion, it's an excellent panel that serves as a reliable source of power.

Setting them up can be a bit of a hassle due to their bulkiness. The kickstands aren't the most reliable, and the material might wear out over time. On the positive side, they offer connectors for up to four different inputs, although I probably won't use them since my generator already came with the necessary adapter. It would have been more beneficial if they included extension cords instead, as electric generators require protection from the sun and rain.
