Gree 5,000 BTU (DOE) 8,000 BTU (ASHRAE) Portable Air Conditioner

I love my KingHome Air Conditioner! My only wish is that I would have got it sooner in the summer. I live in southern MI, and the summers months can get extremely hot and humid. The house has an older boiler heating system and putting a whole house air conditioner in was not feasible. Also, using a window air conditioner would only cool one room. This unit is portable and can be vented anywhere. And the vent is supplied. This unit had no problem cooling the bedroom and am going to get a second vent for use in the living room and wheel it between rooms for day and night usage. It's amazing how well it preforms.

Gree Portable Air Conditioner with 3 different modes: cool, fan, and dry. It also has 3 different speeds: low, medium, and high. This air conditioner has some power, it definitely puts out some cold air and takes no time to cool a room. Currently we are using ours as a dehumidifier "dry" in our basement. The only thing I found while using this unit that I didn't like was that it's loud, but considering what its being used for and the powerful performance, I can overlook the noise!!! I love that it's portable and the casters on the bottom are very well made and strong, makes it super easy to move and no need for heavy lifting. The led display is very nice and you can see all the buttons clearly or you can use the included remote control that comes in handy too. I love the programmable features, especially the sleep function. We have our air conditioner running to our floor drain "as we have used prior dehumidifiers that way also". We are very pleased with its overall performance and ease of controlling the features, moving it if need be, and the maintenance is simple, the filter is even washable! Every thing is included to get this set up, plugged in and ready to run, the window venting kit is easy to put together if you choose to use it that way. We have used the air conditioner for 2 days now on "dry mode" and love it, super convenient and very powerful! Thank you Gree!!!

Luckily there is the Gree 5000-BTU DOE 115-Volt White Vented Portable Air Conditioner for just such an issue. The Gree Portable A/C is just the right size for any room of the house. It is powerful, quickly cooling a room down to 64 degrees. Setup is a breeze, no pun intended. Place the window kit in your window (we didn't permanently attach it, just locked it down with the window), attached the vent hose to both the window kit and the back of the A/C unit, and plug in the A/C to a standard 115 outlet. Controls were simple to use. You can control the unit on via the top panel or the included remote. My daughter was able to move it to her bedroom without much effort when my wife wanted the central air set at a temp above her liking. I highly recommend the Gree 5000-BTU DOE 115-Volt White Vented Portable Air Conditioner. It is a definite ten in my book!

This portable Air conditioner came as a life saver. It is very effective in small spaces and quickly regulates the room temperature. It was easy to setup and install. This sleek and slim unit is perfect for any room you need it in! It assembles and disassembles quickly and the portability is phenomenal. One hose to an outside window and you're ready to cool! The unit is pretty quiet and blows out really, really cold air! After installation in a hot room with no ac, the room was cold in a matter of about 30 mins. This unit comes with a remote control which is nice to have “no more up and down” to change the temperature on the thermostat or fan speed. I love that moving this unit from one room to the next take me about 5 minutes. Having a cooling, drying and fan mode is amazing! We have not used the dehumidification setting yet but we're glad it's there. Plus the sleep function is perfect when we run our new AC over night! This is a unit I would and have already recommended to friends and family! We are so happy with this unit by GREE that we are going to purchase a unit for my parents home!

This is a great looking unit and for an almost 70 year old woman, was easy to install by myself. Be aware the plug is large. You will need a floor level outlet that accepts the plug going sideways. My plug is floor level but too close to the floor for the plug going vertical. I will need an electrician to reposition the outlet. I imagine for most people it will be fine because most outlets run horizontal or sideways. Very easy to follow directions on YouTube to install.

It's great for just taking the edge off. With this heat in North Carolina, and a lot of the US, unfortunately you'll have to pay at least 300 for a fully cooling unit, but this is good for some chill air blowing directly on you and keeping a bedroom at least a little cooler than a standard fan. It is best used in medium-sized rooms up to 200 sq. ft, such as apartments, family rooms, living rooms, or dorm rooms. It's rated as 5,000 BTUs based on the SACC standard. Packaged very safely, as of now working perfectly!

Junk! After getting it all set up I turned it on and it got cold seemed great ! At about 5 minutes in I kid you not it turned off!! And that was how it continued to run every time I tried to run it. Had to look up the problem on the internet and after researching everything I could find the ONLY answer was to send it back to the seller. I called Walmart and they set up the return. Besides getting a totally non fixable AC…. It was delivered to my doorstep well to return it I had to repackage it all and take it to Walmart myself, my mom helped me but I couldn't get my refund over $400 I had to wait for it to be shipped to a 3rd party seller…. So pay attention to who you are really buying from! It took about 2 weeks to get my money back without any problems. So overall the return process was not so bad.
