I bought the 6qt slow cooker a month ago for my family of 5. Beside delay in shipping everything has worked well. Easy to maneuver, seems to hold heat well enough and works without issues. It is of perfect size for my household. So far tried overnight oatmeal, chicken curry and a lentil dish that all came out great!
I really did some investigating on non-toxic appliance before purchasing this slow cooker. The added plus was also how much I loved the color and style. It's a great size, deep, and cleans up like a breeze. Very user friendly as well. I'll be purchasing more products from this great brand!
I have used many crockpots in my 40 years of marriage. The inside pot has always been heavy and hard to rinse out to clean. This new crockpot insert is so light and easy to pick up. Cook the foods beautifully and I haven't even used the option of using the insert on the stovetop to pre-brown or in the oven after cooking to toast the toppings.
For years I have had crock pots. However, since I have gotten older, I didn't realize how much heavier they had become for my aging arms. On a Sunday morning, as I was carrying my crock pot for church dinner, spaghetti and meatballs, the heaviness got the better of me and when the cover slipped, I was unable to deter the ingredients from going on my hall floor and meatballs from going down the steps. You can imagine the mess. Right then and there I knew I had to find a crock pot with a lighter inner pot. Everything I came across had the ceramic inner pot! Frantically, I began my search for the ideal crock pot and after weeks of searching, I finally found the ideal crock pot-from GreenLife! Now I can continue cooking and know I won't be cleaning spaghetti and meatballs from my carpeted stairs!
Great features..brown from your stovetop then cook at your preferred setting... This cooker is such an affordable price and the quality is fantastic love how the inner pot is so durable yet lightweight unlike older/other slow cookers the pot is so heavy and there's no saute or sear function! I truly enjoy using this slow cooker... I've tried several other pricier ones and this one takes first place.. so impressed I bought three as Christmas gifts.
I love how light it is compared to the old time slow cookers and that I was able to saute before putting it in the cooker. I'd highly recommend this to others.
I wish I bough one sooner. I have gone without a crock pot for years and missed the oval shape versus deep round instant pots. Im glad thid is free of lead and pfas.
Inner pot is large and lightweight, making it easier to lift when full. Great that you can move it from slow cooker to the hob, to thicken up sauces, all in the same pot
I bought this for travelling as it is very lightweight and smaller than most crockpots - but it is aluminum under the ceramic coating so be careful not to scratch it or you will be eating aluminum that is quite toxic. I would like to see something from Greenpan (this is Greenlife - another line of their products) and I don't fully understand why they have two lines - one seems to be cheaper than the other which is a bit hard to understand why they would do that - but overall I like its looks, weight, and it works fine.
I have used the new slow cooker a few times, but noticed there were small chips on the side of the pan. I have never put it in the dishwasher, so was disappointed to see chips in the removable pan and also one on the handle. I really thought this lightweight slow cooker was going to be the best one I've had, but I guess not.
