It's multifunctional. Its ability to sear then take the same pan and insert it into its base to finish cooking. I have an induction burner so it's not compatible. It's very light weight and bigger than the avg. 8 qt. About 10.5 inches tall. It doesn't not require scrubbing because of its nonstick finish but a soft wash cloth or soft side of a sponge. The reviews warn about holding the pot by its lid when traveling, you're supposed to carry it by its handles that the lid sits in. Would absolutely recommend!

I saw this in the store but decided to order it online. I was pleasantly surprised to see it was $10.00 cheaper online. With todays economy and Christmas fast approaching, this savings was much appreciated.

I looked long and hard for the perfect slow cooker, read lots of reviews, decided on this one and totally love it!! I like how the metal insert can be used on the stove, the large capacity is perfect for a pot of Sunday soup, or a roast, or anything! Several heat settings, temperature is accurate.

Bright color, slim line locking lid, even heat when cooking. Easy to use no color change in pot after use and no paint chipping. A good seal to the lid ease of chord storage and great to use for transport. Good value. Recipes for all meats can be used including a short steam cook w salmon and ease to follow desert cooking. You can make rice.

Today was my first-time using it %26 I loved it. It cooked my stuffed peppers so fast. It's lightweight %26 is so much better then my out of date, old one. Like I can schedule to start in the middle of the night if I want to. Also like that you can use it on your stove top or oven. Love it!!

I was pleasantly surprised to see that the liner/bowl is metal and not glass! This crockpot is replacing my Crockpot brand slow cooker that I have had for years as I am unable to find a replacement liner/bowl. I have only used twice but so far am very pleased with how it cooks and clean up is a breeze! However the lid has a metal strip across the top and it gets HOT! I burned myself both times I used it as just don't think about it but now I've placed a potholder with it to remind me in the future. Also, I ordered the Oxford Blue color and that is what I received. Reviews showed this to be an issue so I was happy to receive as requested.

Loved the feather weight of this crock pot and the ease cleaning its nonstick surface after cooking! The reason it's not a perfect 5 is that the lid is awkward with its locking mechanisms flapping on the ends, and it's challenging to place the lid somewhere when stirring. The other reason for 4 stars vs. 5 is because the metal rim of the oval pot that extends outside the cooker gets very hot; until you grow used to that issue and accommodate for it, it can burn you. I do love cooking with it though. The lightness of the slow cooker and insert pot is fabulous. Both dishes I prepared with it were delish; the cooking and warming functions are good.

I love how this has all the different functions - delayed start because we all know the chicken is overcooked by the time we get home from school. And the medium function? I haven't seen any other crockpot that has that! My only issue is the lid. You need to be careful how you transport because it's easy for the handles to unlock.

We were super excited to get this product. It was in our price range and large enough for what we needed. We got the item put in something for dinner turned it on and it turned off after an hour. We tried it again in different outlets and it would turn on for maybe a couple minutes and then it would shut off. Hoping somehow I can get my money back!

I was definitely disappointed with this Green Pan product based on how people review this brand. The pot is thin metal and cheap feeling. The outside of the appliance gets piping hot, but it doesn't heat your food well comparatively. The lid seems cheap and doesn't seem the seal well and the locking latch seems like it will break easily. I wouldn't expect this appliance to stand the test of time. I plan to return it for another brand.
