It worked great very easy to put together. I didnt want to deal with gasoline or electric cords so this was the best option for a mower. I would recommend...it did t take much effort to push through out my lawn
I am so very happy that I purchased my Greenworks 5 Blade 18 Reel Mower. I have always loved gardening and working on my yard but hated mowing. Now with the my quiet Greenworks Mower I can still hear the birds sing while I am mowing and it cuts the grass as nice as a traditional gas mower. I am also excited knowing that my carbon footprint is zero by using my mower. Just wish I had purchased it years ago!
But I just wanted to push the mower and let it blow the grass cuttings behind it and the tray that was there to help support the basket would get caught and fill up and I did not want that I wanted one that was more like the old style anyway I thank you it was my idea to try it and it was me not the mower that necessarily did not work for what I had intended it to do but thank you very much it was a nice mower
Very easy to put together. Exceptionally easy to push through grass except when it encounters any small sticks . It then jams the blades and you have to find something to push the stick out of the way before you can push it forward. Does a fairly resonable job of cutting with little effort. Grass catcher works very well so that is an added bonus in my opinion.
Easy to assemble, easy to use. Cuts well, but not tall weeds. You may have to go over the same area more than once. The bag works well, height adjustments are easy, push bar is solid. I can't stand the smell of gas mowers and was tired of paying a gardener to cut and blow. This mower is quiet and takes only a moderate amount of energy to push. My son and I are enjoying time together outdoors, getting a little sun and exercise, and saving a bundle. I shopped around a lot before buying this particular mower (size / brand) and am pleased with it thus far.
I live out in the country and bought this for my front yard area because it is much smaller than my back yard. I've been battling my front yard for a few years now because the weeds and stickers are bad and had hoped the basket on back would help with that too. It worked okay on the yard, but it didn't like overly thick areas (my grass/weeds was about 5" at the worst areas) and the catcher did nothing but cause a gap between the blades and the catcher for grass and weeds to gather at. When trying to push through a particularly rough thick area, I actually bent the frame somewhat. I think this would work well on a well established yard that didn't have much in the way of variance in thickness of grass and uneven texture; but for a "country" yard I don't think it's going to hold up.
It doesn't cut the weeds. It rolls right over them.
The blades were not sharp on the one I got. I have to find somewhere to get a blade sharpener.
I gave this 2 stars because it took me 3 days to cut just my small fenced in backyard. (unevenly and grass sprigs sticking up everywhere) I was on the brink of passing out one day, and my husband wanted to call an ambulance. I only recommend getting this lawn mower if you are in immaculate shape and possibly training to become a body builder or running a cross-country marathon. I do not recommend using this if you are a borderline overweight housewife who recycles plastics and wanted to help the environment by purchasing a manual lawn mower. I unfortunately am going to donate this to someone with an unruly teenager in need of some manual labor as punishment or something.
Didn't cut grass evenly. I will be returning.
