Greenworks 40V 13" String Trimmer / Edger (Gen 2), Tool Only, Battery and Charger Not Included, New

I purchased this to replace an older unit Which was no longer functioning. The last one was also a Greenworks unit. And it served me well for about five years before the battery was no longer good. I took advantage of a sale to upgrade from 24v to 40v, and I'm so glad I did. The new unit is just incredible. Cuts like a dream. Nicely balanced. And the extension makes for a perfect ergonomics. Well done!

This new model has many upgrades from the previous model which we bought several years ago, (and which is still working fine). Good value with the battery and charger.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Have several lease 40 V? This one replaces one. I've had many years. I also have a chainsaw and I have a tree limb trimmer, the batteries are all interchangeable. They've all worked in last a long time. I'm very pleased

I have a number of Green works tools (pole saw, chain saw and blower) and recently added this string trimmer. I am very pleased thus far. It has plenty of power and on a full charge and runs for as long as I want to work. My trimmer came with an extra spool, but since it is new I have not needed it, but I thought that was a nice 'value added' item.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great product! I purchased a greenworks lawn mower a few months ago. Very pleased with it. When my trimmer went out I purchased the trimmer/edger. It was very easy to assemble and was ready to go right out of the box. So far it has been perfect - used it for a month. There are a few negative reviews but I believe they were from user error......they did not read the instruction on how to release the line.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Lightweight and easy to use. Really cuts through my tough St. Augustine grass. Had some trouble with the line breaking off but I believe that was because I was cutting through super thick stuff and mud to begin with as well as getting the hang of rolling it around the spool. After I get it cleared the first time I know it will just zip through. Battery charges very quickly.

Great trimmer/edger with plenty of power. Just what I wanted.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Good trimmer. I like the auto feed line feature. Easy to use. You can easily switch to edging and it has wheels to make keeping a straight edge easier.

I think because it is a trimmer and weed eater, it's just feels awkward to use. Don't like the metal guard it's in the way. I am going to purchase a regular weed eater
