Greenworks 60V Earth Auger / Post Hole Digger (Tool Only) 3704202T

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am fully vested in the 60V family with the CRT426 riding mower, 22" brush cutter, saws, pole saw/trimmer, handlebar weed whipper, blower, two minibikes, and now this item. I have 10 60v 8Ah batteries to keep the party going. The auger is a beast, and I appreciate the extension rod for deep holes. This past week I put in 17 round wood posts with ease. Some holes went quickly while others had rocks or roots to deal with. Overall, I am satisfied with the purchase.

Perfect auger for around the house If you already have a batteries from your other greenworks tools this deal is a no brainer tool will last years no need to worry about starting it every couple of months

Another great Greenworks tool! Cannot beat the convenience of battery powered tools over traditional small gas engines.

I am a 78 year old retiree so I have to be careful as to what I buy and its price. I have been wanting this item for quite some time. Walmart had the best price.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this last month and I have only used it once to see if it worked with the 60v batteries I already had for my weed eater. It worked great and I like the LED lights even though I probably won't be using it at night.

Super torky and there's no stop or protection if you hit a root or something. Just need to prepare for that because it'll launch you if you're not ready for it!

It is plenty powerful and I suspect it keeps up with gas powered augers. My main issue is that it is single speed, all on, or all off. That would be fine in pure, soft dirt, but if there is a root or rock down there this thing throws you for a loop, literally.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Severe kickback, and it hurts! This thing is a beast and does a great job! The slower speed reverse is also awesome for snags. Also great that it's compatible with most other earth auger accessories. However, unlike competitors, Greenworks doesn't have an anti-kickback mechanism, so when you hit even a small rock that's got nowhere to go, the auger handles swing fast and very hard. Greenworks really need to develop and offer an attachment/adapter that does the job.
