Greenworks - 80V 12” Cordless Brushless Snow Shovel with 2.0 Ah Battery and Rapid Charger - Black/Green

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I bought this shovel this week and so far I am very impressed how powerful it is. Yes it is heavy but you need it to be like that in order to cut through the snow. You need only to push. I was pushing it through deep snow and had no problem. It has a safety feature once a piece of ice get stuck it turned itself off. Had to remove the battery and reinstall it to work again.

Being the responsible party for the driveway being plowed was a mission but this little gem of a shovel makes cleaning my driveway a breeze. Weight isn't too bad and it does most of the work for you. Battery life isn't the greatest but i wouldn't write it off for it as it does charge pretty fast. Had my 6 car driveway beautifully cleared in less than an hour. Best purchase i have made! Highly recommend.

We live in Minnesota and just got this. Used it to clear the driveway and backyard (which had 6 inches of compacted snow I hadn't cleared). This throws snows straight ahead so you have to use at an angle when doing the driveway. We have a bigger 2 stage thrower for the heavy snows we get but I see this as a great supplement for times when I would otherwise use the shovel. The battery seems to last for about 40 minutes which should be enough to clear a decent sized driveway.

I am a two time cancer survivor in recovery. I am unable to shovel snow. I made this purchase last year hoping that it would help clear a path for my deliveries. I was not disappointed. It is heavy to lift and bulky, but pushes easily on the snow. Mine shoots snow, packing or powder an entertaining distance (30 feet). I ordered a back up battery that hasn't arrived yet. But the current battery is still good lasting about 20 minutes in 8" heavy snow. the batteries recharge in less than an hour. It is designed for improved surfaces not gravel.

We got 8-10 inches of snow this weekend and this shovel performed like a champ!! The weight of the tool is manageable and helps keep it firmly in contact with the surface to be cleaned. The action of the blades are excellent and managed to throw the snow over 15 feet in an arc that was very helpful to the cleaning process.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Had my 1st real test on 9" snow yesterday. I was super happy how it took to the snow and cleared my 50' driveway. The battery didn't last as long as I thought, but on the flipside, it was going well beyond on the 6" snow level on the tech. page.

This is a powerful little snow shovel. It has been able to go through deeper, heavier snow …like the kind leftover from brushing off 9” of snow off your car. It shoots out about 10-12 feet. It does creates a your own personal snowstorm though. Even if you are throwing snow with the wind at your back, you still have to be prepared for fine snow in your face. You have to angle the machine in such a way that the wind is not blowing toward you because you will become a human snowman. I am a 78 year old woman living in Central New York who appreciates not having to lift shovel after shovel of snow.

After watching a You Tube review of battery shovels I picked this one. The 80v battery makes this a powerful tool. It is a little bigger than I expected. I'm 5'9”. I would not recommend anyone too much shorter use this shovel, it would be awkward. The battery life is outstanding. I used it for about 35 minutes on my deck clearing 8” of snow and still had 75% battery remaining. It works well on smooth surfaces(deck and asphalt driveway). It takes a little more effort on a concrete sidewalk.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Product works great. Gets down to the concrete an throws the snow a long way. Wish it had a way to direct the snow to the side. We live in an area with houses close to each other and I have to really watch the direction of the output.

Very heavy front end, easy to push over smooth surfaces and fresh snow, but uneven sidewalk, blacktop, pavers create a real challenge. Not good for the over 65 set, needs to add a fulcrum/ wheels for mobility and ease of use. battery lasts about 30 minutes so this is good for localized area when the snow is reasonably fresh. if it jams which is easy to do on stairs, the reset takes a while. would also be much easier to use if there was a lock-on feature
