This is my second one of these which I used to replace several 45cc gas engine chainsaws of various types. Love it. Safely climb ladders and the trees without trying to figure how to start it at the top or carry a live saw. Cuts as well as anything i have ever had.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is a good chainsaw. It's not too heavy and the battery lasts plenty long. I have cut through many logs.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This chainsaw is Great! I got so aggravated with my gas chainsaw failing to start!! No more mixing gas, no more cranking till your worn out. Just put the battery in and get to cutting!
The saw is powerful enough to cut larger logs and the battery lasts as long as a tank of gas does in a gas saw. Cut speed is very similar to a gas powered saw but much easier to use. Much less noise, no gas and oil to mix and no exhaust fumes to smell
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I own a medium sized pecan orchard, and this is perfect for day-to-day work on the farm. Carves up branches perfectly, lasts me a few hours of work (with a backup battery). If I needed to plane any thick trunks it wouldn't suffice, but it's more than enough for what we need it for!
Needed to get a new chainsaw but was tired of the same old problems encountered for years of trying to keep my gas saws (and other equipment) running. I had already purchased a Greenworks 80V blower and 80V Polesaw. Both have been outstanding in quality and consistently good performance, so there was no question when I went to purchase a new chainsaw. I hadn't had this saw too long before Hurricane Ida came to Florida, but this 80V 18" Chainsaw proved powerful enough to tackle clearing downed trees and limbs at both my son's and brother-in-law's homes as well as mine. Some of these trees were up to 20" inches in diameter. I'm totally sold on the Greenworks products.
Just tried it for the first time, it works great! Cut through the base of a shrub with ease along with many limbs. I'm impressed... this is everything I was told and read about. For the average home owner this is a safe choice. I recommend purchasing a greenworks chainsaw.
Tool should function much better than it does. Chain has come off a few times and support walked me through some troubleshooting. I completed the trouble shooting by saying the chain came off again but then it held for 4-5 minutes. I tried it again and it failed.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The company i used to work for, and many of our federal agency partners, use this saw in the Desert Southwest. When doing habitat conservation, having an electric saw has significant benefits over gas: reduced noise = less disturbance and greater safety among crew; less risk of spills/contamination when working in areas with sensitive species, and the opportunity to have a solar-powered system. More importantly, with the crazy daily 30-40deg F temperature swings in the desert, electric saws avoid lots of downtime that tend to happen with gas saws.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If you aren't planning on running a tree service, this chainsaw works great. Cuts through big logs and runs for a decent amount of time on a charge. You're not going to cut up an entire massive oak tree on a charge with it, but it'll get the job done eventually. I like not having to wear hearing protection while using it!
