I bought this 2 weeks back but got a chance to try it yesterday as it was the 20+ cms of snow. I didn't expect that it would remove this big layer of snow but I was very surprised that this 80v verson is way more powerful and can remove the snow bigger its size. Highly recommended.
Great. Saved my back during our latest snow storm and made short work of our four car driveway. I didn't think much of it the first time I used it, but there wasn't much snow, so it didn't really have the opportunity to work properly. When the dry snow accumulated during our recent storm it threw the snow really well and did a great job. Now that I have used it five times, I understand how it works, what speed to walk at, etc, and I am very happy I bought it.
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I bought this to replace an old corded electric. It's pre-winter, so my critique is about assembly and product observations. The manuals were minimalist. For example, there was no parts list and no identifiers to describe what part went where. Fortunately, I am very technical, so I was able to assemble the device with ease, including the two extra screws that were not mentioned anywhere. A minor issue: there is a cable clip on the handle that broke as soon as I placed the cable into it. I used black zip ties in its place and it looks good. The battery charged quickly and indicated full-charge but does not have an auto shutoff, so you have to monitor the charger and manually disconnect. Battery placement is excellent in the charger and equally as good in the snow thrower. I recommend keeping the battery indoors until needed in order to prolong longevity. Chute operation controls work well, and the power and speed select buttons appear robust. The motor runs quietly compared to my old corded electric. I like that the handle has optional position on assembly so you can have a longer handle, if desired. Also, the handle folds. The impeller blade is metal and there is a decent base scraper, so I expect that the snow thrower will do a good job; I am looking forward to the first snowfall that I can try this out.
I live in Idaho, so we don't get a ton of snow, but enough that I was tired of shoveling our large driveway each time. I didn't want something that was massive and needed a lot of effort and storage space. I found this model and to be honest I had my doubts on how effective this would be. After receiving the unit I was amazed at how easy it was to put together and use. It's super quiet and easy to use, and it has cleared my driveway multiple times. The battery lasts about the time it takes me to do my driveway, so I might look to getting a bigger one, but the charge is super easy. I would recommend this product, it really is good.
I live in Montreal and we have a few meter of snow every year. I used this machine for two winters now to clean two decks on the back + 1 smaller deck out side of my bedroom on the second floor. it is not light but still portable by myself. Additionally, I use it to clear a long path on the back yard, so my dog can run around and do her business. I also put it in the trunk of my SUV to bring it to my office so I can clean the snow in the front and back yard. It is an impressive machine from Greenworks and very pleasant to work with. As a result, now I have bought additional six 80v tools from this company, they all works as expected.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I researched many different snow blowers and finally came to conclusion to buy Greenworks 80V 20" Cordless Battery Single-Stage Snow Blower, and I made a right decision. I used it twice already and very happy with this product. Powerful enough to get done the job within short period of time, large two car drive way and walk ways. If you are looking to have one for the winter, don't think twice, buy this one!
(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Just received my Greenworks 20" 80V Snow Blower in time for our first measurable snow fall. Works great!!! So impressed that I went back online and ordered the matching G/W lawnmower and edge trimmer. Took advantage of the great Black Friday specials.
Appears to be a good product and fairly well made. It worked well and through the snow much further than I thought it would. We have a large driveway and it cleared it on a single charge of the battery. Do not leave the snowblower outside for extended period of time in the cold weather as this will draw the battery down. Make sure you have a warm area to charge and store the battery. Service issue. I had to solve 2 issues myself, closest repair facility, that was submitted to me was over a 2 hour drive in one direction.
i bought this unit in nov/16. the used was used 4 times and each time would run then quit leave for awhile then run .never had more than 3 inches of light fluffy snow .now with only about 3 hours on unit if that.. it does not work at all .this is a very poor unit ..when working works good but the problem is to keep it working ..i am in canada and no one even wants to work on it ..i cant even find a site to try and buy parts as i am capable or repairing it my self ..no place will even concider warrant ..i think the motor has failed ..i even bought another battery .but that was not the problem .unit trys to turn but wont .. can anyone help .. wayne
This machine simply does not work for any period of time. Others on this site have reported the same experience I have had. The machine will work for a few seconds then stop. After restarting a couple of time times it stops permanently. I have had the machine replaced once but experienced exactly the same performance with the second unit. The appropriate rating would be zero stars but that is not an option. I was so pleased with my Greenworks Pro lawn mower that I had really high hopes for the snowblower. But the performance I have experienced is completely unacceptable and I will be requesting a refund now.
