Greenworks 80V 21" (Push) Lawn Mower (Gen 2), 5.0Ah Battery

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Quiet but very powerful, battery recharges fast and last a good amount of time to get the job done.

quiet, light, the self propelled feature works great for uphill. i do about 3/4 acre, and charge has only ever gotten down to about 20%. Really like the feature that somehow it knows if im going through a thick patch, and it speeds up the blade just for that bit. Ive used only in mulching mode, and detected no issues or undue cut grass remnants left on lawn. As others noted, after dropping out of self propelled mode, gotta wait about a second before wheels disengage so you can pull it backwards, but its now a learned thing and zero problem. nice mower.

This is my 2nd Greenworks 80V, 25” mower & I love them. One for home & one at the lake. Just pop in a battery, press start & go. No gas, no oil, no maintenance, much quieter. Cuts as clean as any gas mower I've ever used. Also have a 3000 psi pressure washer that's incredible too. I'll be buying many more Greenworks products in the future. Huge fan!

What a great mower. Very happy to have this Greenworks mower, which we selected *with* the 80 V battery, but without the self-propel feature. It is a wonderful mower: light and easy to maneuver, but powerful! Love the way it mulches and mows.

I bought this mower for the power, run time and quality of the cut, and I've never been disappointed. Greenworks makes quality products that I have owned for years. They are truly the best.

Bought this open box 80V 21” self propelled combo package and was really impressed with the power and simple operation. My lawn is really thick and was a bit worry the self propelled mower would make it. It made the task simple and plenty of power. The weed whacked worked well but the line that was installed at the factory was snapping pretty quickly. I will need to look at some options for a better cutter line the power was great. Now that blower is something it cleaned the mess up very quickly.

First tried the 60v Didn't seem to cut very well. So I thought I would step it up a bit and try the 80v. Same issue…stray blades of grass here and there. Checked out the blade and it didn't seem very sharp so I decided to sharpen it a bit and I'll give it another try in a few days. Odd that the 60v mower came with an 8 amp battery and the 80v mower comes with a 4 amp battery. I don't understand the logic behind that but they did last long enough to finish the whole yard surprisingly.

I do like the light weight, and quite functioning. However, I have tried multiple times/setting to get it to mulch and not leave a mess behind (clumps of non-mulched and missed blades of grass) on my healthy yard, even when barely taking anything off the top. I have reached out to Support and they sent me the "best" blade they have (which looked just like the one it came with), this was of no benefit. I pulled out my ~20+yr old gas mower and it still does a much better job of cutting and mulching than this mower (leaves little to no visible remnants). Maybe it would work better on a yard not as healthy and thick as my small yard. I would recommend looking elsewhere for a battery powered mower.
