This is hands down a no brainer for anybody that likes to take care of their own lawn and make it look fantastic! Works as advertised if not better. Light and easy to handle. The amount of dead organic matter it picked up was mind blowing and the bagger is super convenient to keep the yard clean while dethatching! I have a 1/4 acre and the battery held up with out a problem. I dethatched, over seeded & fertilized and within two weeks my neighbors are all complimenting my lawn. Great product and 100% recommend! Thanks Greenworks! -Patrick M
This little dethatcher works really well for scratching out all those unwanted grass clippings that were choking out my centipede grass. It dethatches a 12" (or so) wide swath, so it took several sessions to do my yard. The battery lasted for an hour and a half with stops for emptying the collection bag every pass or two before I had to take it out and charge it. The charger is quick (2 hr. ?).
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Excellent quality and just the right size for my needs.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] strong soil blending with peat moss. stronger motor input to yardwork (tork)
I am extremely pleased with this product!!! I am a single woman in my seventies and the thatcher made my job so much easier. I would recommend it to anyone!!
Works great, could of made hay bales on the amount of thatch I had, over seeded, fertilized , and with plenty of rain my yard is filling back in nicely, I love my green works cordless tools..
Super lightweight, easy to handle, charge lasts long enough that when it dies I am ready for a break. The battery charges quick and I can be back to work. I have rocky soil and clay about 6-8 inches down, it can still till that up, but I do have to focus it in one area for a minute sometimes if the sod is dense. It is compact enough that is stores nicely as well.
Great machine. Efficient and effective. Easy to change cylinders. Saves the back aches from manual raking. Powerful enough for my lawn needs. Great value compared to the time and hassles of renting equipment.
So far so good. We have a semi bare back yard, and didn't want to till it and turn the soil that deep, the scarifier cut into the dirt enough to allow the grass seed to take, and the dethatcher did a great job taking out the moss in the front. We have two big trees that create a cover and allows alot of moss out front. At least its always lush and green, but now it'll be lush and green with just grass. Only reason I give it a 4 is the battery life doesn't hold 45 minutes on a full charge as described. I get maybe 30 minutes. If it went the full 45 I could get the entire front done in one charge, recharge, then do the back. Otherwise happy!
I've purchased Greenworks products before and liked them, this one I do not for several reasons: (1) The tangs on the tiller are basically just saw blades in shape - they do not cut roots (like a typical "L-shaped" blade does. They mix dirt, but do not cut the roots of any small plant; (2) It's not very well made, it broke about 30 minutes into use when the cotter-pin they have on the blades fell off and dissappered into the dirt; (3) and the ergonomics on this are really poorly designed - the handle should be around 18" shorter. You end with the handle being closer to your arm pits than your waist. I did give it two stars because the battery lasted a full 30 minutes before I needed to recharge it, and it was easy to assemble.
