Excellent Fit

Good fit, threads strip easily
I purchased this to replace my old drain that was leaking because the threaded ring that holds the rubber seal in place was stripped and would no longer stay in place. The new one installed fairly easily, however, the same threaded ring stripped on the new one. It appears they are made of aluminum and cannot withstand any amount of tension before stripping. I used extra plumber's putty to seal around the opening and managed to get a good leak-free seal. However, if I had to buy one in the future I would look for a stronger metal that doesn't strip so easily.
