Grill Mates Chipotle & Roasted Garlic Seasoning, 2.5 oz Bottle

This seasoning is my go to seasoning right now. I use it on everything - scrambled eggs, chicken quesadillas, chili, pulled pork sandwiches - it goes really well with just about anything. It has some great smoky chipotle and garlic flavor without being too hot or overpowering. A couple tablespoons and a half pound of bacon will really wake up your chili recipe. I've also used it as a rub on grilled chicken breasts and it was fantastic.

I prefer a strong spicy taste for most of my food so I stuck a finger in the bottle and tasted it. It is not hot but it does smell and taste very good. This is not a subtle or bland spice. There are 2.5 ounces of spice in the bottle and the instructions say to use it on chicken, steak, pork and vegetables. The typical 1 Tbsp. per pound is given bot I would adjust that to meet your taste needs. The bottle has the standard shaker top. Salt is listed first in the ingredients.

I though this was a great tasting seasoning. It had a bit of "spicyness" from the chipolte mixed with the flavor of the garlic. It was not overpowering with either flavor. I used this seasoning on boneless, skinless chicken breast. I powdered the chicken heavily with it before I placed it on the grill. I also rubbed in the seasoning a bit. The only complaint I have it that the holes on the top of the shaker kept getting clogged up. Some of the pieces in the seasoning mix were a bit large to come out of the shaker. Then, I used a gas grill to complete the process.

not my first choice but would definitely appreciate it when looking for experimenting a new flavor every now and then. It gives a different flavor but doesn't feel too intense. Depending on the quantity you put, it is the intensity of flavor you'll get.

this is actually a really good seasoning it can be sprinkled on anything. it's something about roasted garlic that makes everything smell good and taste even better.

I grilled chicken for my family using this seasoning. Usually my family loves the season I use when grilling. This time it was not a hit. As my younger son, who is 18, said "chicken was great but not a fan of the seasoning." my oldest said he didn't like the seasoning. It's definitely different and I've heard some people say they love it! It's just not for my family who really doesn't have picky eaters.

Just tested this spice out today on some homemade roasted chickpeas to snack on - pretty fantastic flavoring, I can see this being perfect paired with some grilled chicken, as intended. It's got a kick to it from the Chipotle, but it's not too spicy. Packaging is nice and easy to open and close too.

I used this seasoning as a marinade for chicken I grilled. The chipotle was smokey with a little kick and the garlic was perfection. The chicken came out delicious. It was just the right balance to achieve that grilled taste without over doing it with seasoning. This seasoning is great for when you want something tasty but easy to do.

McCormick Grill Mates are a staple in my household so I jumped on the chance to sample the Chipotle and Roasted Garlic Seasoning. We used it on chicken wings and it was the perfect smokey garlic with a kick. We will definitely be trying it on hamburgers this summer. I also think that it would be a great seasoning to give those garden fresh vegetables a savory and smokey boost. This is definitely another McCormick Grill Mates winner.

What an incredibly flavorful combination of flavors that I found to taste excellent on everything I put it on! From garlic bread to eggs to roasted chicken, this seasoning can make an array of meals a delight. I love the easy to open tab top and it distributes just the right amount with each shake. I love that it is also flavor you can see and that makes me happy. I know everyone in my home loves it and I would highly recommend it if you're a lover of chipotle and garlic!
