Before using this shampoo, I had been to the dermatologist who gave me a prescription shampoo to help cure my scalp problems. I had a very dry, scaly scalp, so dry that I was starting to lose hair on my forehead. The prescription shampoo didn't work. But this shampoo, which is something like a baby shampoo for adults, worked a miracle for my scalp and for my fine, dry, and brittle hair. It's the only shampoo I use now. I bought it because the ingredients were good. I was surprised that a shampoo this cheap had pretty good ingredients. Then when I started using it I noticed that this shampoo made my hair feel softer than most conditioners. After using it, it didnt feel like my hair had died and been ressurected as a steel wool scouring pad. This shampoo also doesn't weigh my hair down. It's helped to preserve the natural curls and waves in my hair. It's also brightened my hair. I recommend this product for people with dry scalp, fine and tangly hair, who have tried the shampoos that other people rave about and found that they worked terribly for them. It smelled like baby shampoo and it lathers up like a dream and each bottle costs about 2.50. You really can't go wrong with this stuff.

This brand has been around for years. My mom used it on my hair as a child. Smells strong but pleasantly herbal. Don't expect big drastic lightening but does give nice subtle shimmer to light brown or dark blonde hair.

It works for me, I have psoriasis flare ups on my scalp and this helps keep itching away. We have hard water in our area so I do have to lather up twice. It basically feels like baby shampoo, smells ok, helps make my thinning hair feel a little thicker. Its reasonably priced, so I'll keep using it for now

I liked that this shampoo made my hair a lighter brown. It did however make my hair a little on the rough side. I may use it again but not as my daily shampoo.

IDK if I would buy this again. It is supposed to be a natural, gentle way to gradually lighten hair. Of course, only time will tell. What I can tell you is that I felt like I had to use MORE to get a good lather. I had to wash my hair TWICE to get it to feel really clean. And, it smells like medicine....clean, but harshly medicinal. IDK. I'm not a fan. It is, however, value priced, so that's a positive.

the first couple of times I bought this, I loved it. It was almost a gel-like thickness. Now it's a lot thinner and I have to use a lot more to get the same result. I do like how it naturally lightens and brightens my dark brown hair and makes it smooth.
