TBH, I wasnt expecting that it would be so delicious. I made it in the crockpot, then added cabbage for the last hour, potatoes for the last two, and it was a great st pattys day treat. I ate all the leftovers throughout the week. will definitely be buying this again. really good quality and taste .
The value of the corned beef was very good. The cooking instructions were easy to follow and very helpful. I made this for New Year's Day with potatoes, carrots, and cabbage. It is a very healthy meal. My family enjoyed it very much. I can't think of anything that I dislike about the corned beef. I have bought this brand before, and it is a great product.
The corned beef brisket was very tasteful and tender. This made for a quick %26 easy crockpot meal. Just added water, cabbage, carrots, potatoes %26 onion. The only seasoning used was the included spice package. My family loved it %26 has asked for it to be made again. I definitely will be purchasing this brand again %26 highly recommend it.
I cooked in my instant pot for 70 minutes. used a rack and about 2 cup of water. Fat side up, sprinkled the seasonings that came with it. It was perfect. Tender, just the right amount of fat on top. Juicy, tasty and one of the best corned beef brisket I have ever had.
Rinse well. Cooked in Crock Pot for 8 hours on Low setting. Perfect texture and flavor. Added veggies, chicken broth, my own seasoning, and the season packet. Made a nice Horseradish Dijon sauce. Happy St Patrick's Day! Erin go Bragh!!!
I was cautious to purchase after reading some of the negative reviews. However, I bought it and followed the directions from another review for the Instant Pot (add water and beer, high pressure for 90 minutes, take it out and let it rest) and it came out perfectly. Will absolutely be purchasing this again!!
Brisket does tend toward fatty, but as other reviewers have indicated, this seems to be a bit higher in fat than average. Not the cap - that seems well-trimmed - underneath. That said, it's got great flavor overall, just be sure to include the spice packet included and rinse off the excess brine unless you like a lot of sodium. Some of these packages can run small. You'll want to cook them a long time with a lower temperature to get them tender.
I would recommend this, if you do not have another better option for fresh or natural corn beef because the taste was really good. However, the price for what you actually get once it is cooked up is not great. Unfortunately, for what I had, there seemed to be more fat than meat too. Maybe if the price was less it would have had a better rating overall. Not sure I would purchase it again, as next time, I might try deli option since I used it for sandwiches anyway and not a roast or full meal since it would not have been enough for a family of four or more.
GROBBEL's CORNED BEEF has nosedived in quality. Way too much FAT on the underside which is hidden CONVENIENTLY on the BOTTOM of the package. Also, way TOO MUCH INJECTED LIQUID/MOISTURE which, of course, cooks completely OUT of the beef. As a result of all these negatives, a 3 %261/2 pound piece of beef cooks down to a 1 %26 1/4 pound piece of beef. What was SUPPOSED to be a $7.00 a pound cut of corned beef COOKS DOWN into a $21.00 a pound cut of beef. DO NOT WASTE your MONEY. Skip this JUNK!!!!!!
I used to buy these all the time and they were wonderful. These days, this most recent one was about 40% meat and 60 % fat. The one before that I got enough meat for one person to eat. The rest was fat. Hard to believe it’s the same company. I hate saying this because I love corned beef but it’s so hard to find anymore. I’m not paying 25.00 for a plateful of fat!
