Saw this a thought we'd give it a try. It was great! The corned beef was tender. Perfect size for the two of us with leftovers the next day. So easy to put in and heat in the slow cooker! I added more carrots, a few more spices and a Coors Light. So good we ordered another package for St Patrick's Day. 🍀
OMG the size was not what I expected. As a single person with a 2 quart pot - this will make a double meal! This is definitely large enough for a family of four or six... The vegetables were fresh, the meat was a clean cut - I am not sure how I was to rate the fat rating but there was hardly any on the fat cut of meat. I think it is a good cost and good value! And a easy one pot meal all things included, spices, and bag liner - Check it Out!
recommend? yes and no. if you are on salt free/low salt diet definitely no. if bungry for corned beef dinner then yes but you may want to add a bit more veggies. also for the liquid portion use beef or veggie stock instead of just plain water for flavor boost.
This Corn beef made our ST Patty's day and the flavor was really nice, easy to work with the meat and didn't over-cook in the crackpot. The seasoning was simple and was helpful to have the potatoes, Cabbage and Carrots mixed really well and even placed some of my own and a couple bay leaves, picking season and ground mustard. Message me if you would like the recipe.
At 84 and on social security, this was just the ticket for getting three meals for a single person at a reasonable price. [Look under the clear plastic for the spice packet.]
This was so easy to use and so convenient, the meat was so tender, and the vegetables cooked to perfection, I will definitely be buying this ready to cook meal again.
The taste of the corned beef was good but a little tough. All the vegetables were good. I did add small head of cabbage just because I like it. Think maybe next time fix it in the instant pot instead of the crockpot. Hope that might make it a little more tender.
i usually buy everything separately and a different cut of meat being ill this seemed easier it wasn't horrible but for now on will only purchase items separately
Dated the 18th and cooked on the 18th. Vegetables were a little slimy so I rinse them before cooking. Cooked it exactly the way the instructions said and the corn beef itself turned gray. I was legitimately concerned about eating it so in the trash it went.
The carrots were rotten and slimy and smelled horrible causing all of the vegetables not to be able to be used. Waste of money! So disappointed. I threw it away so no picture could be uploaded.
