saw your video, replaced spring and metal hose with this, works excellent.
I spoke to Rick Herrera, a Grohe rep, about my leaking faucet and whether it was a Grohe. He suggested I send him a photo, and after I did, he identified it as a Grohe faucet and told me what to order to replace the leaking hose. The package arrived in a box that was a little worse for wear, but there was no problem with the hose. My plumber installed it and it works like a charm. My thanks to Rick.
I bought this "Shower Hose" to have it on hand in case the hose on the Grohe kitchen faucet started to leak again. There were some pinholes in the mesh at the sprayer end so one of the thoughts Ihad was to make sure everything is good and dry and apply crazy glue to the last inch of mesh. It worked. Perhaps the hose shouldn't have failed after 4 or 5 years but that end gets an awful lot of twists, so, yes, it can leak. The replacement OEM was "made in Bulgarien" where Grohe apparently has a design etc. subsidiary, was paid through some Asia intermediary, and is better than the original that came with the faucet. I give it a 4.9 because googling Grohe is a bit like assembling a small picture puzzle. One place you may learn that a faucet hose fits all faucets, another place you get a part number, inevitably you get knock offs in your browser or "compatible with" and when you finally buy, you buy this "shower hose" and hope. If you look closely at substitutes, you see that the mesh is much coarser and therefore less flexible and more prone to fail and there are no specs on the quality of the stainless steel. Stick with the Grohe.
The replacement hose worked perfectly once the correct part was sent to me.
Hose and adaptors are great quality, but they are not "universal" as stated. None of the adaptors fit my model so the faucet head would no longer fully retract into the faucet and the magnets could not secure it in place. Customer Service helped me determine the correct replacement hose but better listing info would have helped avoid the problem in the first place.
I submitted a request to return this product and have not received anything back from Grohe. Please advise.
Came with many extra parts for different faucets. I would have appreciated it if I were able to purchase the hose alone at a lower price point.
It is not universal. I had to have a plumber retrofit my five year old faucet with which rhua was supposed to be compatible to install the hose because the hose would not fit through the faucet interval casing. It also does not have a rotational piece at the end.
Unhelpful website. No pictures and very little description of product. Needed a replacement hose for a Ladylux and this was the one that came up. Got it but one part doesn't fit correctly. Having a hard time finding the correct one. Will now have to call company.
Existing one failed after 3 years of very moderate use, bad quality, would never advise to buy Grohe, customer service and cost are rip-off
