Good for my nine-year-old. Every flight was a success. Distance could have been a little further. Seem to be fairly controlled not like the remote drone type come especially for a younger pilot .

My 7yo son loves this toy. The planes are styrofoam. As long as our toddler doesn't get to them, they hold up well. Fun to fly.

I received product reimbursement in exchange for my honest review. I bought the Growsly Catapult Airplane (2pack) for $11.99. This toy was really disappointing at first. I had the orange one on the straight mode and the blue one on the loop mode. Neither flew very far when using the gun to shoot them. The blue one didn't do anything close to a loop. They went anywhere from a few feet to 20ft depending on the wind. However, they were never consistent and most of the time, they didn't really look like they were flying. We realized that the gun just didn't have enough force behind it when shooting off the planes. My 10 and 12 year old boys were over these pretty quickly. They did love the lights. We flew them in our backyard around 9:30pm so they were pretty cool to watch. I wanted to see how they would fly with just me throwing them. They ended up going so far and doing all kinds of tricks. The blue one did multiple types of loops depending on the angle and how fast you threw it. My boys were having a ton of fun and wouldn't even let me try. The only bad thing was that the orange straight flying one ended up flying so far away that it went to the other side of a neighbor's yard. We already have a large back yard so we didn't expect this. Hopefully, our neighbor throws it back tomorrow. We flew these around by hand for a good 15-20 minutes. The planes are good for 3 years of age; however, it recommends kids 8 and under have qualified supervision. It does have a lifetime warranty extension, but it's a foreign website so you have to accept the connection being insecure. Overall, the toy was fun, but not when using it the way it's supposed to be used. I would happily just buy the planes without the guns for a little less.

First use of the launcher I showed my great grandson how to use. Launched plane about 5 foot and it fell to the driveway breaking the wing. Try launching 2nd plane on grass. same results except grass cushioned the fall and wing stayed intact.

I did not want to have to ask permission to enter someone's yard to fish these planes out of a tree or bush. It's cool how they light up, but that is all that is cool about them. I think I got one to fly about 5 feet. When I moved the tail wings to loop mode, the plane nose dived. This is all with using the gun to launch the planes at a slight upward angle or level with the ground as the instructions direct. I do not recommend these toy planes for anyone.
