Grumbacher Watercolor Tapebound Pad - 11" x 15", 30 Sheets, 140 lb

I'm always looking for the Grumbacher brand for my paintings. I use the watercolor medium. I sometimes mix in some acrylic paint in my paintings and the paper is perfect for my blending. The texture is great, and I couldn't ask for a better quality product. I give it an A rating!

yes this paper is superb. it with stands a lot of water. you can leave your painting and rewet later, rework paper, and it still stands tall. so far i have had no buckling or rips or over worked areas. and i just tried to do to see if it would hold and it did. I highly recommend this for any artist...

It's really good quality and the weight of the paper is excellent it doesn't bleed through. Is no only excellent for watercolor, drawing is also good for acrylic paint and it doesn't breakdown the paper.

This paper has always been some of my favorite for the price point. It's nice and thick, has a good texture to hold water, and tears/folds nicely. I've probably purchased 20 pads over the last few years. Lately, the paper is thinner than it used to be. Partway through 2024, I noticed my newer pad of paper didn't match my older pads, and pads since then are consistently the thinner version. It's hardly noticeable unless you were halfway through a project like I was and needed sheets to match. Even thinner, it's still good quality for the price.

This is a great paper to start getting the feel for watercolor painting. It's also great for making a tracing stencil or a color swatch.

I won't be buying this again. Every bit of water and/or pigment applied to the paper immediately soaks into it. Does *NOT* allow watercolor to do what watercolor does best - leave soft edges and bleed into other colors to effortlessly blend together. The reason we Love watercolors! It pills up right away as soon as you attempt to touch it with a brush - not scrub it, or even press hard. Once water has been applied to it, it begins to pill up and lose its integrity. Even light amounts of water and pigment cause it to warp, adding weight on top after drying won't allow it to flatten out. Had to cut out and glue painted pages to card stock in order to give away as cards. It has only 3 things going for it: 1. It's paper 2. It's thick paper 3. It's thick textured paper
