I've been hunting for over 30 years and with these type ladder stands the last 15 years or so. Budget friendly, roomy, sturdy, and they last for years. Tried to find a new one last season and nearly every stand has gone to the sling-type fabric seating, cost twice as much, and the fabric seats can't possibly last as long out in years of weather. But, I wound up buying a cheaper 2-man Muddy stand and can't say enough bad things about it. It was frustrating as heck to assemble, cheaply built, not roomy at all, and terribly, awfully uncomfortable. But...I digress. Then, I find this one...just like they used to be made! Budget friendly, metal seat, metal platform, super easy to assemble (if you're the least bit mechanically inclinded), roomy, and sturdy! This will always be the stand I buy! The only negative I have is the seat pad that comes with the stand is thin and cheap, which I expected. I buy a pad off Amazon and carry it in with me on every hunt, have for years, and do ALL day sits throughout the season. If you are like me and like old school, you won't be sorry with this stand!

I have to say this is a really nice tree stand. I bought one in Aug 2025 and it was a good deal under $180 at the time. I just bought a second one in Nov 2025 and it was $130 - $20 with a promo code. That's an excellent deal for this stand. It goes together easily and all pieces fit. The second one took me 45 min to rough assemble by myself and 15 min to tighten and get ready to set up - all with hand tools only (socket set). Directions are good. It's easy to set up in a tree because it's not too heavy. It's best to do with two people (my wife helped carry the lower sections and helped steady when we stood it up), but could be done by one strong person if necessary. It's very steady when attached using the supplied tie-downs and ratchet straps. My son and I can sit in it comfortably and it doesn't move. There were some spots where the coating rubbed off during shipping that will likely have to be sprayed with a little spray paint during the off season to keep from rusting but that's no big deal. Overall, I would highly recommend this stand.

Strong and sturdy build. Shooting rail, a little too high, but can sit on a pad. Padding on back of seat flimsy. Works but pushes right through the back. Doesn't stay put. Had to cover the openings on the side rails/arm rests. Bought one-inch square tube end caps on amazon to keep water out. Should have come with them. Easy enough to assemble. Don't put up alone.

These stands are comfortable. They're easy to put together. I like the shooting rail, but I would like it to be adjustable. Hunting the mountains in a treestand is difficult due to the terrain. Pending on the terrain I may not be able to shoot low off the rail because it's too high. If you made it adjustable you would have a great product.

The tree stand has arrived in box and no missing parts were found. The assemble instruction is kind of ok, some pictures reqire crank up your brain to figure it out. The good part is all bolts and nuts are same size and you do not have figure out which one is which! Design is simple and it can be assembled in 30 min max. The bad part is the coating paint can be scratched pretty easy and on some parts already pealed off. Overall installation was easy, it is two man job but one man can do it too.

Was not upset about my purchase my biggest complaint is the shooting rail is too high

It's a pain to put together. Couldn't get anything to line up properly. The instructions are awful. Had to use a hammer to tap parts together. Busted the paint off in spots that will have to be spray painted. Guide rope was too short. Didn't feel secure in the tree so had to add extra straps. It's fine now that it's in the tree.

Very cheaply constructed ladder is very narrow for climbing does not support the stand. Well seat is extremely uncomfortable. Railings are too low and shooting rail is nearly impossible to climb through to get into the stand.

Ordered on 9/15 was told on back order until 9/22 by customer service. No biggie there but just st looked on 9/27 still hasn't shipped. Contacted customer service again and now told on back order until 10/15 halfway into now season. Not reliable service! This will be last time I use sportsman guide.cant rate a product that can't be shipped
