I purchased this to put in my daughters playroom. I needed it to be under 34 inches tall to fit under molding that is across the wall (chair rail). It fit perfect and is just the right height for her to reach. It was easy to put together. It was a little pricey but I have gone through plenty of cheap particle board book shelves and wanted something that would last so I decided to give this a try. It is real wood and I especially love that the back of it is also wood and not card board. In the long run if you don't mind spending the money this is a great purchase and a quality product for sure!

I was worried about buying this because the only other review was horrible. But I took a chance because Sam's Club is amazing at customer service and I knew it would be no problem to return it. .......... I'm SO GLAD I BOUGHT THESE!!! I got three of them for my toddler classroom and they are very well made, they are a very night light neutral grey color, they are heavy and sturdy incase anyone climbs on them. I came back to buy two. more for my own house and thought I should leave a review. Also really easy to put together!

Simple little shelf. Easy enough to put together. Not the most high end but does the job. Wish it were a little deeper, can't hold wide items like puzzles. Good for kids books.

Overall I like this product very much. I researched it thoroughly on the web through several websites and was somewhat skeptical about the product prior to purchasing. But I took a chance as it was the only thing I could find dimension wise to fit our needs. I am pleased from the site we bought it from as it was the lowest price I could find with free shipping, to which there was no delay. I would confirm from numerous reports that this product had no odor. Also I'm in the construction business and have put together many difficult things and for the novice person this kit is much harder to put together than the average. But if you take your time and set your own pace and think about it before you do it, it's 123 and 456. I'm a firm believer in you get what you pay for and suppose the cost and quality are fairly equal. We are using this piece of furniture for our daughter's room (2 year old) and are pleased with the cuteness off its details and capacity wise holds a lot of toys, books, puzzles and dolls.

We bought this shelf to store my sons toys and books. I have a 'thorough' gene and looked at zillions of bookshelves out there -- we ultimately chose this one because it met the following criteria: 1) looks good (it is in a 'kid corner' of our family room), 2) organizes our son's toys in a way that looks neat but is still easily accessible for our 14mo, and 3) decent price.It was backordered but came earlier than anticipated. [...] Installation is fairly straightforward (hello, hex wrench). The tick is to realize that you need to push in the bolts ALL the way into the pre-drilled holes before inserting the screws.Oh, and be forewarned -- it has a horrible stench when you open the package. Luckily it quickly dissapates. It was fine by the time we were finished assembling the shelf.Overall recommended! Looks great, is sturdy, accomodates a lot, organizes well with the various compartments, and a good value. I would have rated 5 stars if it wasn't slightly damaged upon arrival.

This bookshelf is smaller than I expected. The product dimension is listed on the website, but it didn't darn on me that it's that small, so it's my fault not paying attention. I'm just not sure if it's worth of the price. My husband said it was really hard to put together, and there is a black mark on top of the bookshelf that I couldn't get it off. It's too much trouble to send it back so I decided to keep it. Just won't recommend to anyone...

Easy to assemble. Giving 2 stars because it arrived with a 1 inch scratch that tore paint and left a tore the wood. Also going 2 stars because it was missing a piece required for assembly

Corner damaged during shipping and there were two holes that werent drilled correctly so it couldnt be assembled.
