Guidecraft PowerClix Construction Vehicle Set

I chose to purchase this for my almost 6 year old or Christmas instead of another brick building set (what he really wanted). We took the parts out of the box and chose which one of the 3 trucks to build. My son tried to follow the pictorial instructions, but struggled. I attempted to help him and I had a great deal of trouble getting the parts to snap in place. I don't think it would be possible for my son to do without significant adult assistance, which is a big frustration to him. Once we assembled the truck, it was difficult to lift the loader arm because the joints required a good deal of force to get it to move. And when you did move it, it would disconnect the magnets. I'm hopeful the other suggested designs will be easier to make and will hold their shape better with play. All in all, I think I would have been better off to purchase him a brick building set instead. I'm not sure he is going to play with this much.
