Guinness makes excellent Black and Tan beer

This is my go to dark beer. I have been drinking Guinness for the last 25 or so years, thanks to my late husband to introducing me to "real beer." This has a slight chocolate taste, its smooth, but it is a heavier beer. I tend to get full after a couple of these. Guinness is perfect after a long day where you want to kick back and relax with a good beer.

Taste: Smooth from first sip, with roasted barley, dark chocolate, and coffee notes. A steady bitter backbone keeps it balanced. For me, there's a strong, holy depth to it—something bold and reverent that lingers in a satisfying way. Alcohol content: Feels medium-strong and warming without being hot; the strength is well-integrated and sneaks up gently as you sip. Carbonation: More lively than the draught version—tight, medium bubbles that lift the roast flavors and keep the finish crisp. Aroma: Toasted grain, cocoa, and espresso, with a hint of molasses and a whisper of dried fruit when it warms. Packaging: Sturdy dark-glass bottles that protect the beer from light, with the classic Guinness look—clean, iconic, and easy to spot. Great for a chilled six-pack. Personal note: It takes me right back to Kenya—memories of sharing a cold bottle with friends, that smooth sip cutting through the heat and the day. Familiar, comforting, and special.

The bottled version maintains its signature depth and full body, making each sip satisfying and well balanced. It's a classic, high-quality beer that's perfect for relaxing or pairing with a hearty meal.

Guinness in a can is the only way to drink Guinness at home without a tap. It still Foams the same way without having to worry about a flat beer. Would recommend to any Guinness drinker

My overall impression of this beer is bold yet smooth with that nostalgic Guinness taste that stout beer lovers are familiar with. I give it 5 stars! It's like having dinner and a beer all rolled into one

I have been drinking Guinness since 1968. When I was in Dublin Ireland in April, 2025, I visited the Guinness House for a Tour. Had a Nice time; bought many souvenirs, education and have a taste of the Draught Beer with my photo on top -(amazing!)

Love this beer so much, its kind bitter but it is at good quality, it leaves an aftertaste and it can be set down in the fridge for a few days after opening. Its not too strong but it does crep up on you.

Good beer, esp the month of March for St Paddy's day, BUT be warned, multiple purchases throughout the month, literally 3x 8-packs a week, followed submission instructions that claim $5 rebate w/in 48-hours. Zip nada zilch
