I bought two to get two guitars so two kids could play together. They both came with a game which will be used as a back up if need be or traded in for a new game at a gaming store. Great price as it would have cost way more to just buy an extra guitar by itself.
I gave this as a present to my son (35+) and he is having a ball with it, whenever his kids will let him play.
I bought this for my grandson. He was very excited when he saw the box.
We have had a wonderful time playing Guitar Hero. I am glad I bought this game.
Bought product for half of last year's price. Very happy.
I bought the guitar hero for my son arrived on time but it's missing the dongle to connect wirelessly.. I hope I don't run into trouble exchanging it for another with the proper stuff to make it work.
Hardware quality... meh. The overall build is decent enough, except for the buttons. Button travel is not very smooth, and unless you're pressing straight down on the button, it will either miss your press, or it will stick and not bounce back quickly enough for the next button press. Software... well it's a different approach to the GH concept. I don't hate it, but sometimes the videos playing in the "Live" mode can be distracting. I also don't love the longer delay between songs in Live mode. Although there are several songs in rotation in Live, there are only about 40 songs in local mode. Finally... I was anticipating online competitive (or even cooperative) online play. This version doesn't offer anything like that. When playing in Live mode, after each song your score is compared to others who are playing at the same time, and you're awarded XP points and a ranking. That's about as close as you get to competitive play. Overall... not a great game, not the worst game I have, but not the fun of the previous GH iteration.
The old guitar hero was a lot better. The 6 buttons and no color system is so confusing. I played it for 15 minutes and was done. I loved guitar hero and played it on hard.
