solid show
The two seasons of Gunslinger Girl seem quite different from each other, almost like they're two different shows. The change up in character art and story flow from the first season to the second make them feel like completely separate entities. Both are well done regardless, and many flashbacks in Il Teatrino refer to events from the first season. Don't expect a ton of action, but a great story and characters more than make up for any shortcommings in what has become one of my favorite animes. The two episode OVA (a follow up to Il Teatrino) was pretty dull and pointless, but it's still a great package overall. Also, awesome opening theme music.
