Super easy to assemble - took barely 5 min to attach the parts to the main drum. Filled it with water and it was exactly what it was meant to be - a great roller for new lawns and similar uses. Solid construction and easy to assemble and use. Very pleased with it and would highly recommend it.
just as described
great roller for the price, the only improvement would be to move the fill hole closer to the outside diameter of the roller to make it easier to empty.
This roller works great. Has a good size handle for pulling or pushing, plus the roller width is bigger than I thought! Nice product!!
Easy assembly. Fill it with water and roll. No leaks. Good for seeding
I bought the Gymax 17-Gallon Heavy-Duty Steel Lawn Roller to even out newly seeded areas and press down topsoil after lawn repairs. After a few uses, I can say it's a solid, functional tool that performs exactly as advertised — but there are a few small issues that keep it from being perfect. Assembly %26 Build Quality: The roller arrived well-packaged and went together in about 20–25 minutes with basic hand tools. The steel drum feels sturdy and has a smooth, even weld. Once filled with water, it's heavy enough (around 140 lbs when full) to effectively flatten small bumps, compress soil, and press new sod. The powder-coated green finish also looks nice and helps resist rust. Performance: It works very well on a typical residential lawn. The 36” width covers a lot of ground quickly, and the option to either push or pull is useful — especially when maneuvering around tight corners or garden beds. When filled halfway, it's still manageable to move, and fully filled it gives enough weight to firm the soil without compacting it excessively. Usability: Draining and refilling the roller is easy thanks to the plug design, but the handle could be sturdier. It flexes a bit when pulling over uneven terrain. When you empty it, prepare for the water inside the roller to be rusty. That's annoying but not a deal breaker for me. Verdict: Overall, this is a very good mid-size lawn roller for the price. It's well-balanced between size, capacity, and maneuverability. It's not a commercial-grade roller, but it's ideal for homeowners who want to level out small dips, press seed, or smooth out a newly topdressed lawn.
The product was delivered on time and in great shape as advertised. BUT WHAT IT ISNT is a Tow Behind Roller! If your wanting to tow it with a riding lawn mower your going to have to make your own hitch tongue for it to work properly.
Its okay this one once filled is still a little light to flatten out how you may want it unless its minor work. It will not flatten out mole hills from moles. Well it flatten but you still have the hump. Purchase one over 300 lbs full. I filled with water so I can empty it sand not sure. Like the question which is heavier a ton of bricks or a ton of feathers. Gotcha they both weigh a ton lol.
Easy to assemble but the handle broke while towing it
