I honestly didn’t think nicotine patches would work for me, I was nervous about those first few weeks because I’ve tried quitting before and it’s always been so hard. But this time has been so much easier than I expected. The first couple of days, I was waiting for the usual cravings to hit, but they never came as strong. Now I actually wake up in the mornings not even wanting a cigarette — sometimes I go through half the day before I even realize I haven’t thought about smoking at all. It’s such a weird but amazing feeling. I still get the occasional urge out of habit, like after coffee or when I’m stressed, but it passes quickly. What I like most is that it takes the edge off without making me feel jittery or weird. It’s helped me focus on changing my routine instead of constantly fighting cravings and this is only Step 1! I’m already feeling really good about it and can’t wait to see how much better I feel moving into the next steps. Honestly, I wish I’d tried these sooner!
I've been trying to quit smoking for a long time. I recently got pneumonia and found out that I also have COPD. I bought these to see if they would work after a week in the hospital. I have not had a cigarette in two weeks, and have not wanted one. Thank you, I can actually breathe.
For my experience, taking these patches was a great idea to do out of all the steps step one was the only one I needed. I used maybe eight patches and then after that, I didn’t need the patches anymore. I am now over a month clean on cigarettes, but you have to have will forward it to work.
I desperately needed these Habitrol nicotine transdermal system patches that I got free in exchange for a review from home testers club. I’ve been smoking since I was about 10 years old, I’m 28 now. I only stopped once and picked up the habit again within a year. So far I’m feeling very hopeful, and I’ve had a good experience so far! I’m scared to withdrawal because I get very sick, so this is perfect.
adhesive stick is strong, design is comfortable, removal is easy, I found it really does cut cravings by more than half. my only problem is, I found I have adhesive allergies, which causes me to develop a red, itchy welt where the patch was, so I couldn't wear it after one week. adhesives need to be good for skin allergies and still stick well.
they worked a lot better than I thought they would. when I started using them I didn't really have an urge for nicotine or cigarette. so after a week I go without a patch and I haven't had a patch on since I haven't smoked a cigarette since. so they're doing pretty good
I bought these for my son that’s wanting to quit smoking, or at least cut back. He says that he has cut back and they definitely help with the urgency of needing that next cigarette. He’s been using them for about a week. He puts a fresh one on a few hours after showering and before bed every night. Hasn’t bothered his sleep at all and they haven’t irritated his skin at all. They stay in place and aren’t hard to remove either. Keeping fingers crossed that he’s able to eventually quit. If you truly have the mindset %26 are determined to quit I believe they will work. I’ll be the next one to give them a try when I get ready. I’m just not quite there yet.
got these to try to cut back on nicotine consumption. i have been a former smoker and current vape user. these def deliver a solid nicotine dose. it takes a couple hours to get a steady feeling of the dosage. while i have a patch on, i do not have urges to use a vape. the package warns that vivid dreams may be a side effect and i for sure did notice that occurred with me. i plan to use these to wean off vaping. if you have any concerns, i would talk with a dr before using. i had no problem starting the patch but everyone is different. did not have any skin issues. only downside is that the adhesive does start to come loose. could prob use some medical tape to prevent the patch from coming off.
It did not stick on skin although the area was dry. Once it did not stick, it would not re-stick onto anywhere else. It almost immediately caused a rash, I moved it twice and got rashes on my arm and shoulders where the adhesive stuck or maybe the chemicals in it? I tried one more the next day and it was the same result.
I hate to leave a bad review, but these are terrible patches. Didn’t feel like any nicotine delivery, and they were falling off my skin. One of them was rolled up in my shirt and I didn’t even know it. Just fell right off. Didn’t help at all with cravings. It’s unfortunate, I was really ready to start my quitting journey, I’ll have to put it off until I get some others.
