The freshness is inconsistent. One card of pieces will be pliable with good flavor and nicotine content; the next card of pieces will be tough, tasteless, and low on nicotine. Frankly the off brand at Target is much better all around.

I've been using a different brand the past few weeks and decided to try these instead. The round patch started to peel off after less than an hour when placed in the same location as my square patches. I cleaned the area with alcohol first as usual. The patch made my skin immediately sting and itch. I left it on to see if that would dissipate. 10-12 hours later I was on the verge of vomiting and needed to take RX nausea meds. The near vomiting episodes happened 4-5 nights in a row before I realized it was the patch! I had assumed I was having hormone issues then realized the problem started the same day I started the habitrol brand patch. The 4th night when I started feeling sick I took the patch off and felt better. I switched back to my old brand the next day and no more issues. The patches left a rash that took about 3 days to go away (yes, I rotate sites) I'm not sure if these release too much? Too fast? Have other ingredients that are seeping into the body? But the issue was every night 10-12 hours after applying which doesn't seem like coincidence. ***I will never buy this brand again and I'll stick with square patches that stay on - Round design doesn't stay on well - Easy removal because adhesive doesn't stick well - Adhesive left rash, stung and was itchy I am not using them for quitting smoking, so I'm not sure how well they curb cravings.

I have been using patches over the last few months. These were defective. I put them on and suddenly got a rash from them but kept using them until one night I was up all night throwing up. These was something else in these patches.
